New Releases for the Week of June 19th, 2011

This week’s full list of new releases offers plenty of reasons to be scared. Beyond John Carpenter (Halloween) and Steve Niles (the 30 Days of Night comic mini-series) involvement in F.E.A.R. 3, Suda51 (killer7) and Shinja Mikami (the Resident Evil series) colloboration for Shadows of the Damned, there’s also the threat of world domination by Lightning McQueen.

Man, I’d love to get a sequel. I wish that’s was this was instead of a remaster, but it’s such a niche title. It won’t sell gamgbusters, unfortunately.

I am not sure what they are looking for sales wise but it can’t be much more than it originally sold if it’s even that much. I’d guess it just needs to sell well enough but who knows what that actually is. I still have the PS3 copy not sure if I’ll buy a remaster or not.

Syndicate Reboot Servers to Close

Electronic Arts has announced a number of server closures in the coming months, including Apex Mobile and the 2012 Syndicate reboot.

What online functionality did Shadows of the Damned even have?

kevco33391d ago

My thoughts exactly! Some kind of score chart I've forgotten about?

Syndicate's big saving grace will soon be erased for good. I'll give *some* credit to EA in keeping servers up for 10+ years.

Oh yeah, an actual cyberpunk game. I have fond memories of the old bullfrog Syndicates.

Syndicate was a fun and high quality late PS3 fps that got swallowed in the sea of fps at the time. It was short and it didn't innovate but it had good visuals and fun combat. Starbreeze i believe. Rip Torn and Rosario Dawson.

F.E.A.R. 3 Is Still The Most Original Multiplayer Shooter Around

DualShockers Writes "F.E.A.R. 3 (or F.3.A.R. if you’re a marketing executive) isn’t a great singleplayer game. It’s fine, competent even, but Day One Studios had an unenviable task in trying to wrap up Monolith’s F.E.A.R. series. With two timelines and two highly different styles of horror attempted in its wake, F.E.A.R. 3, well, it tries its best."

F.E.A.R. 3 wasn't even really a horror game when it came to the campaign. It was a good action game, but lost just about all of its horror roots along the way.

Loved fear 1 and 2. Reboot please.
