Forbes - PlayStation Chief Jack Tretton: How To Sell Vita, Navigate Clouds, And Debut The PS4

David M. Ewalt: I spoke to Tretton earlier this month at E3, the game business’ biggest annual trade show. The following excerpts from that conversation are edited for length and clarity. (E3, PS Vita, PS3, Tech)

Great interview. PS2 is a beast. Another 6 million this year? Just wow. Can't wait for my Vita. Gonna be a good year for gaming!

The PS2 still rocks with all the games it offers. And there will always be young people new to gaming who want games with good graphics, great story and which are fun.

Also:
"...And the key will be whether we can scale to a very casual entry level consumer. I’d like both of you, but if I had to get one, I’d rather get the gamer, because the mom may not buy the same amount of games."

I lol'd at the mom part. XD

Tretton never disappoints. He is always on his "A" game in an interview. Excellent responses here and quite factual in all honesty.

Not only excellent responses but excellent questions for him to respond to.

Damn PS2 is still selling? Wonder how much money Sony's making off of it.

Good article by the way. I'm happy with the PS3. I don't want Sony to release PS4 unless it'll be a huge leap.

He interviews are always interesting, he is realistic as in none of that PR BS, and often gives credit where credit is due.
