Was EA’s Move to Withdraw Games from Steam Ill Advised? - ZTGD

Michael Futter Writes: I often feel like digital distribution is in the stage of its evolution where it is finally flopping onto land, gasping its first breath of fresh air. That poor creature, still trying to figure out what just happened to it, wondering how to traverse this new dry environment looks up, only to suddenly see and feel some little boy poking it with a stick.

The story is too old to be commented.

no it was EA that prompted it.

I am assumign no EA game from now on will be on steam. Star wars wont be

Well, steam has some policy that EA didn't want to accept for one reason or another, so it was steam that removed the game (I think it might be related to the upcoming DLC)

It still isn't out of the question that EA might make some games exclusives to origin.

Though it should also be noted that Valve keeps it's games exclusive to Steam... or well, I haven't seen any Digital Distributor selling a Valve game.
