Square Enix has confimed that Kazushige Nojima, the writer of many of Final Fantasy's greatest stories, will not be directly involved with Final Fantasy XIII-2, despite being the person who came up with the concept for Final Fantasy XIII.
That's soooo lame! Freaking love Nojima :(
Well. At least we know the cutscenes are going to be action packed.
they wont use cutscenes at least not CG cutscenes, cause of DVD limitations, so i would not expect some mind blowing actions from the cutscenes this time
blu-ray all the way!
They had them in the first game, don't see why this would be any different. Of course, there weren't that many in the first place, lol.
@Hardedge Kitase said in a interview something that seemed to hint that there would be no CG scenes this time around. The translation was a little janky but what I was able to pull from it was that the game is alot bigger then XIII was and because of that they wanted to avoid the CG scenes to keep the disc count down to 3 on the 360 instead of 4-5(again because the game is expected to be around 40% larger) But like I said the translation of the article this came from was really janky so who knows if this is really the case.
With Toriyama as the director and some n00b as the writer we can expect some pretty terrible stuff. That guy (Toriyama) has no talent at all, I don't even know how the hell he has worked with Square for so Many years... In fact, I don't even have the slightest idea how he got a job in the game industry. =(
I think he was the major problem with Final Fantasy XIII. Watanabe stated that he basically couldn't write what he wanted, as Toriyama was constantly requesting changes to everything. If he literally just directed, we'd be fine. But he can't control himself.
