Epic Games developer Cliff Bleszinski gave a live demo of Gears of War 3 over at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, however he must have been pissed at the way it turned out.
Ai, some glitch there. They are playing on casual so it should have popped pretty fast. It's the same demo as E3 so something went wrong here...
live fail But this Jimmy is everything but a gamer, I bet he would shoot with start button if Cliffy said so. It doesn't get any more casual than him I guess. today it's Uncharted 3 :D
'Shoot him in the eyeball for massive damage'
only on gears can u fight a boss and not move and not get touched...skills
LOL, the monster's all like, "NOM NOM NOM" Fallon is all unfunny as usual and like, "LOL OH NOES SHOT TEH EYEBALLZ" And Cliffy's all like, "dis is not goin rite" And then they paused and gave up. *Clapping*
I like Jimmy Fallon. The Burning Chateau level was revealed on his show and he is doing another Uncharted 3 demo and Battlefield 3. I would prefer the old guy with the giant chin to do it (he's earlier and funnier) but we can't always have what we want.
Was that a small jab at Sony I heard from Cliff. Lol. hit the eyeball for "massive damage" lol this guy really likes to talk about sony. and please dont' tell me it wasn't, you know cliffy b. you know he would do it! lol
even sony makes fun of the giant enemy crab...it was terrible I don't think it was a jab at sony as much as a joke for gamers
Such a shame but the game looks really good.
He just paused the game. It's not that big of a deal. The average person sitting at home wouldn't of seen it at as a glitch.
wow,i knew something was wrong when his team didnt shoot at it,poor cliff :(
He didnt think quick enough,i bet if the enemy munched him it would have fixed it or he would have died , either is a better outcome than pause.
"shoot him in the eyeball for massive damage" "kick that open, bang like a boss" heh heh hhheerrrrroooookay engine looks tight but isn't that beast meant to move or spit some type of offense or was the only bug that it didnt die or move onto its next phase. The crowd wouldn't know any difference so its not such a disaster
LMAO ClifB:"Shoot him in the eyeball for massive damage" Sony reference
I don't see it.
Can you explain? I'm lost as to why it is.
Painful to watch that guy play, If i was cliffy B i would have ripped the controller of him and beat him with it
As would I but that's not exactly good PR.
Its good PR in the sense for the eradication of the stupid =D
I dont see a problem....game looked awesome....the silverback worked....the problem is you cant kill the monster....not much of a problem to me.
Giant enemy Monster Gears of war 3 looks awesome
Well I'd rather see that happening during a live demo of the game than during my own playthrough. At least that's one glitch fixed. Cliff handled it very nicely actually, he didn't look that upset. Let's hope Uncharted 3's demo won't have any problems tonight.
I guess Jimmy needs a little more practice (at least I hope this is the case).
Just waiting to try out BeastMode on there.
one: is cliff that short or is fallon tall? two: it would have been funnier if the 360 red ringed
I doubt he was too pissed, he saw something was wrong, and made a joke about it. Now they can fix whatever issue came up before it comes out. It really didn't look like the game really failed, more like he ran out of time to keep going, and the game looked beautiful, honestly.
The casuals were watching and didn't notice. Even I didn't notice until I watched it a second time. The people that care about the game won't not buy it because of this so there is no need for him to be pissed.
saw this last night and just thought they both sucked at playing but it makes sense that the eye was glitched but it did look like cliffy was missing the eye most of the time. cliffyb "shoot that bastard!!!!!"
LOL at gears and cliff.
that really sucks
Sure, you don't want things like this happening on live television, but we can assume the game will be awesome. It looks good. At least they know the glitch is there and can patch it. The more issues they find early on, the better for the end product.
Does he really think Gears is a AAA title? Sure, it's not a bad game at all but...AAA?
Of course its a AAA title. The series has had great review scores, sells millions and millions of copies, and is played around the world. What exactly is your definition of AAA?
Something that's both fun and unique...
As always Gears is a fun bug ridden mess.......no one can deny that.
Gears of war is a fantastic series. A small bug is no big deal and will be fixed before release.
yea it shows how far, or how short they have come from Gears 2 lol for someone that talks so much crap i don't think it could have happen to a better person way go cliffyb great demo
How can any of your guys deny the fact that gears has always been super buggy? especially the multiplayer. This has been true since the first gears. I'm not trying to start some fanboy war or anything and I'm well aware of the fact that the game will be fixed before release, but I can almost guarantee gears will still be buggy and go through numerous major patches after launch.
LOL... My Move controller was laughing at Cliff the whole time, "Maybe they're playing with Kinect and its just laggy." Nah really, talking inanimate hardware aside, the game looks AWESOME. Cliffy-Baby, you did it again!
They were like freaking out like something bad was going to happened, but it just kept...well... NOMMMMM....NOMMMM......NOMMMM MMMM.........
I gotta say. Where's the damage? The boss looked cool, no doubt, but all you had to do was stand there and shoot it in the eye. Fun? I don't think so. How come the guy in the suit didn't get munched or hit or something? Graphics looked sick but gameplay looked sucky.
Its all the hackers getting revenge for all the times Cliff has made fun of gamers ;)
SHOOT IT IN THE EYEBALL FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE!
Cliffy was probably the only one in the studio that understood the eyeball joke.
