Face Punch a Hacker Today

SG: It’s not really news anymore when Sony gets hacked. Well, it’s still news, just not a big surprise. We’ve pretty much come to accept that in a few days it’s going to happen again. All I hear is “blah blah blah” Sony got hacked again… over and over and over. There’s also the occasional, “so and so is planning on hacking Sony,” just to spice things up.

Punch a hacker,
you go home feeling happy
he go home only wanting revenge
you wake up the next morning to internet hell
accounts for most of sites been to hacked
everything expose on torrents and websites.

So in the end, punching really never solve anything just made it worse.

pedrami912351d ago

How bout' breaking their fingers instead ?
Sure, it would only be temporary but it would you give a peace of mind for a brief moment.

DaBadGuy2351d ago

In some countries they cut off the hands of thieves, I think they still do anyway. These hackers have absconded with countless people's information, which they have stolen.

Ergo, they need to be extradited to said countries and get their hands removed post haste.

Then what to do with all these naughty little hands? Donate them to people who have lost their own hand in a tragic hand losing accident.

We won't be hacked and the needy will have fresh new hands with which to eat and play games.....with.

Win/Win

Attention Hackers

You are not unbeatable, you are not immune, you are not untouchable, you persist because you are not taken seriously. You are considered an annoyance and a nuisance, and just not worth the time, money, and effort and these are the only things keeping you safe.

Let me explain what's going to happen.

At Best: The powers that be will get tired of you and you will find that they DO consider it worth the time, money, and effort to track you down. The idea that there are too many of you to ever catch is true, but when dozens and then dozens and dozens more end up in court facing civil and criminal penalties you will be purely amazed just how many people suddenly have better things to do than take the risk of being caught.

At Worst: You will completely ruin the internet for everyone. Money will start flowing in to political coffers and unfavorable news coverage will mount up. Nobody will care what it takes anymore and what we will get will be an end to the internet as we know it. You won't be able to do a damn thing without every single solitary packet of data being examined, scrutinized and authorized. Don't think this can't happen. It can happen. Keep it up and you will make it happen.

JD_Shadow2351d ago

I sincerely hope that the next time you log onto an online banking session, that you take the time to consider who is responsible for making sure no one with a mind to steal your shit on that site. Then, after that, you try to come in here and say something like that again.

Seriously, you generalized something that has been going on for years, and something that has all sorts of motives, pro and con.

JeepGamer2350d ago

I'm quite familiar with cold hard reality which is why I laid it out there. I explained in no clear terms why things are like they are now and where they are going if people keep screwing around.

I know how the world works and no matter who you are, no matter how smart you are, no matter how many of you there are, if you think that you're immune to the wrath of power and money then you're out of your mind.

Enigma_20992345d ago

... please tell me you're not saying that it's the hackers that make sure that those sessions are secure. Please tell me you're not stating that these people should be GLAD they were hacked. PLEASE TELL ME YOU DID NOTICED THAT THINGS WERE WORKING JUST WELL AND FINE BEFORE THE HACKERS DECIDED TO MUCK THINGS UP JUST TO PROVE A POINT, WHICH WAS "WE WANT ATTENTION!!!"

JD_Shadow2345d ago

*sigh* Either you're a very good troll or you don't think that there isn't a single tech company that ever hires security teams.

If the latter, then I really question your wisdom of how things work.

If the former, then think before you troll!

Enigma_20992344d ago

And if that's the ONLY thing that it takes to make you see silver linings to this dark cloud, please stop posting on the internet.

By your logic, we'll be hiring thieves to help protect against home invasions, or shooters to help curb gun control...

When they're causing THIS much headache, they don't deserve any kind of job. And why pray tell, can't they just submit resumes like everyone else? That still works you know.

Well, gimmie an answer... don't TROLL me, just answer me.

JD_Shadow2344d ago

Are you serious? Are you THAT naive, whiny, and/or immature to not do research about what I said? Is it THAT black and white for you that you cannot see past your own view? Stop looking at the forest from that tree.

How in the hell do you think I know it's safe for me to check my bank statements online? Or that my CC info on Amazon would be safe, huh? They just don't say "meh, it's good enough". Or at least I would HOPE not (Sony seemed to do that. Not all people are THAT naive about their online security protocols). Go ahead, try to answer that. Where do you think the security you feel when you enter that sort of stuff at sites comes from? They hire all sorts of people for this kind of stuff because they want to make sure that their systems are safe and have as little holes for those criminal hackers to get past.

Now, is that me saying that doing what lulsec is doing is any way to give out a resume? When DID I say that? That's just you trying to change the subject of what we're arguing: that just because one CRIMINAL hacker or group of them (notice I said CRIMINAL hacker here), then every single person who has ever modded anything or had taken classes in college/HS to get a job in tech security, or those like Hotz, is doing it to perform criminal acts, grouping everyone together in a "guilty until proven innocent" mentality that shouldn't ever exist in our culture (but sadly it does).

The OP stated that we can't take hackers seriously, as if they were ALL evil or wanted to steal our CC info or something like that. I tried to set the record straight.

You're the only one that acting like an immature trolling kid whining that someone didn't exactly see things like you did, all before projecting your own crimes onto me and acting as though I'm in front of the computer all day thinking up of "oh, what witty remarks can I say to prove myself THIS time". I don't have to do that because I know how things work in the world. I know this issue isn't in black and white, and it's not that damn easy to judge like many people do on this site.

Perhaps if you shut up for five minutes, use the Google and do some damned research into what people tell you like a mature adult would do, then perhaps you'd be taken more seriously. It's no wonder people don't take gamers seriously when most of us act like this whenever someone scars our egos.

((I'm about as naive on the subject as you are arrogant. You got a point to make, here's some advice, stop trying to wax poetic, and spit it out. No one gives a d*** about your metaphors.))

Now, is that me saying that doing what lulsec is doing is any way to give out a resume? When DID I say that? ((When did I say you said that?))

That's just you trying to change the subject of what we're arguing: ((Like hell I am.))

that just because one CRIMINAL hacker or group of them (notice I said CRIMINAL hacker here), then every single person who has ever modded anything or had taken classes in college/HS to get a job in tech security, or those like Hotz, is doing it to perform criminal acts, grouping everyone together in a "guilty until proven innocent" mentality that shouldn't ever exist in our culture (but sadly it does). The OP stated that we can't take hackers seriously, as if they were ALL evil or wanted to steal our CC info or something like that. I tried to set the record straight. ((We don't have to shake their f******* hands and tell them thanks for breaching our security and hacking our sites, either.))

You're the only one that acting like an immature trolling kid whining that someone didn't exactly see things like you did, all before projecting your own crimes onto me and acting as though I'm in front of the computer all day thinking up of "oh, what witty remarks can I say to prove myself THIS time". And if you intend to give such scornful ridicule and vitrol, you better be ready to take whatever you get in return.

JD_Shadow2344d ago (Edited 2344d ago )

"I'm about as naive on the subject as you are arrogant. You got a point to make, here's some advice, stop trying to wax poetic, and spit it out. No one gives a d*** about your metaphors."

So, you're admitting that you're naive on the subject? Think of how you worded that. You're being both, and you're still doing what the "metaphor" implies: that you're looking at one part of a bigger picture.

"I don't have to answer s***. Remember, I asked YOU for an explanation..."

Which I gave, and which you copied and then completely ignored. Or perhaps you don't want to answer because it would hurt your failed reasoning.

"and even if you were right about who they hired, that doesn't make it any less stupid."

How is that stupid to hire someone that would be able to hack many things to make sure that there are no holes in software or sites? C'mon, PLEASE use your brain here! I've spelled this out for you, and gave you the questions so you could answer them to realize that you should be smarter than this! You're the one that keeps pushing this failed logic every time I answer you, so I figure you should know more about this than you've shown me so far.

"((When did I say you said that?))"

Here's the thing: you're saying that I'm for people hiring those like lulsec. That's not what I'm saying, which, again, I explained my position that you're putting EVERYONE into a box and labeling them before you're educated enough to understand the facts of what I'm telling you. You're trying to link that if I think companies hire hackers to keep systems safe, then they should hire shooters and thieves where they would be "needed". There's a difference here: companies DO hire them.

Do you know anything about the terms "black hat", "grey hat", and "white hat"? "Black hat" is what you could describe lulsec to be. "Grey hat" is something like Anonymous (per se). Then, the ones I'M referring to, are the "white hats" (computer security experts). Here's the link to what the "white hats" are: http://www.secpoint.com/Wha... . You wanted me to "explain"? Can't get clearer than that.

"((You're of a mind that there are upstanding law abiding hackers? See this is where we disagree.))"

"((We don't have to shake their f******* hands and tell them thanks for breaching our security and hacking our sites, either.)) "

Look above! Gave you the link to show how wrong you are. And who said we're shaking anyone's hand here?

"((Look, junior, I don't have to go that route. You're being enough of an a** for the both of us.))"

You're the one doubting that I'm somehow wrong in this. I posted the link. PLEASE read it.

"((Or how about this. Make your point from the start, instead of throwing out the troll signs and insults. Meaningful conversations do still exist. But it's give and take. And if you intend to give such scornful ridicule and vitrol, you better be ready to take whatever you get in return."

You're the one that told me to stop posting on the internet if I thought there was a silver lining. Maybe I get carried away sometimes (might have here), but that doesn't take away that you're on the wrong side of history on this issue.
