RipTen: "It seems that Ubisoft Montreal got bored with the more expected stealth aspects of the series and decided to aim for..."
Day -Effing- One!
Where is the stealth? rofl. All I saw were explosions!!!1
that's why the title says 'foregoes.' do you know what it means to forego something?
agree with this, its called ASSASSINS creed for godssake, not RAMBO creed. but ill probably love this game too, goddamn you ezio
Learn to Rambo. He uses stealth and traps to kill most enemies until the very end when all hell breaks loose.
thats what revelations seems to be too and thats my point
*taps chin* That just means that it might be like most of the other titles which have all ended in a giant battle.
@RIPSKATEDESTROY When was Ezio stealthy in the E3 demo? He started off by throwing a bomb!
This isn't an Assassin's Creed game then. It flies against everything about the Assassin's Brotherhood that Ubisoft created with the other titles about how they came to the conclusion that they can't have flashy public killings and have to operate in the shadows. That being said, this article could only be touching on certain events in the game, and the overall game itself is still the same.
With the smoke grenades and stuff in the demo, I highly doubt they're losing the stealth. I couldn't imagine an AC games without stealth.
assassins creed was never stealth game in the first place
Half of it relied on stealth.
Agreed the main draw of AC has always been about playing in free roaming epic historical locations. That has been, and will continue to be the main selling point of AC. That is why we will most likely never see a AC game set mostly in a modern setting.
assassins creed had stealth!?
I take it you never played the games. If you had, you'd have played the missions where you're not allowed to be seen by the soldiers or it's an instant fail.
Say isnt so!
MICHAEL BAYSPOLOSION BOOOOOMMMMM!!
Um...people? Common sense here! This is one mission! One mission does not represent the entire gane.
Exactly what I was about to say. Even the ACB demonstration had loads of explosions and yet the final game contained numerous of stealth missions.
Same thing's happening with the new Hitman (my most anticipated game of 2012). One mission, probably the tutorial level, is shown in private and most people are all panicing, saying the game is ruined, etc. Personally I like to see actual gameplay or at least more gameplay before making a decision
Yeah, I think they were just showing the action-filled parts to get attention -- it's more interesting than watching someone sit on a bench.
Well said. I remember reading an article a while ago saying something about some parts of the game having every single NPC against you and out to find you. Could be a bit tricky and irritating, but could make for some pretty fun stealthy gameplay.
Hopefully they don't go "full retard" with all the stuff from Brotherhood i.e.: Tanks/Blueprint inventions. That stuff was fun and all, but it's like the game has progressively become more and more easier as they introduce more features.
I agree. What's next? Muskets? Rockets? Apollo 11? I hope AC stays true to its roots. I'm starting to hate the yearly releasing, too. It just makes each game feel way too much like the same as the previous.
