E3 2011: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Impressions Round 2 [RPG Site]

A second opinion on Square Enix's E3 2011 showing of Final Fantasy XIII-2 both hands-on and hands-off from a different member of the RPG Site staff.

Call me skeptic. The fact that they are making a sequel to an already mixed bag amongst fans means they are hoping that they will put enough faith in Squenix to make up for what was a polarizing experience. Something tells me the sales will be half what FFXIII was, especially since not many people completed or even bought the original.

I think that's the big fear yeah, but they are also showing they WANT to change it up... hopefully they do.

Hey, pretty cool same game all over again.

The only thing that can save this game is a good story.

It's funny that this game already has a set launch date and Versus XIII doesn't even have a ballpark. Clearly everyone wants Versus XIII, but we're being told tough, you get what we want to give you when we want to give it to you.

I swear SE and MS are in negotiations right now.

AP2416d ago

Probably. SE needs the money now; but is MS really all that interested after how FF13's performance wasn't up to FF7 or even FF10 standards?

DragonKnight2416d ago

I would say so. MS' seems interested in any 3rd party games they can get. I mean, judging from their E3 conference, they are incapable of decent first party games unless they are Kinect games.
