You know..The same thing happend to Bad Company 1.
And the great thing was, the boycot made them change their mind, so they no longer made them exclusive.

Activision would never do that. Remember the Dedicated Servers boycott for MW2?

Hey, some of us stuck to our guns, you can see my steam tag on the side, playing dragon age. Never bought a COD game since, never will.

Bad Company 1 was one of the few boycott victories...But I don't think EA is gonna budge on this

though if its organized and not just some stupid steam group. I'm talkin supported by the majority of the bf community and I know which sites to look for.

I would partake.

I don't see what the big fuss is about, if you buy the pysical war pack youll get the weapons. But I would think DICE with its years of credibility and well balancing will have weapons that can match them. It its most likely after a few months they will release the weapons to everyone I would think, but They can't go back on the deal, cause everyone who has pre ordered it will feel cheated as well. Anyway there just a couple of weapons, enjoy the wait for the game instead of the boycoting, All game companys need to make a profit in a competitive market.
Also was the world war 2 weapons techniaclly exclusive in bad company 2 or does my memory fail me? :)

You had to have Veteran status which meant owning one of the previous BF titles (or MOH) & being signed up to the BFBC2 site.

Yeah sure, "Let them make their profit". Maybe we can help as well. Let's pay $10 extra for content that other gamers are getting for free. That will surely help EA make profit. Activision has been ripping-off their fans for years. EA should be able to do the same thing to their own fans, right? /s

I remember they did the same thing with MOH and that god damn MP7 and m60 are amazing and i can't even unlock them :(

oceancrown2681d ago

Remember the days of battlefield 2 , no exlusives there to my knowledge. Its a shame that exlcusives have become a neccessity with quite a few titles, however you do have to think at the end of the day how much effort and money has gone in to these game. Whether people boyott EA I won't let it put down my enjoyment. god wish it was sooner, LA noir was good this month , but I was dissapointed by brink :/

Think you got a mic in some places for preordering bf2?

Can we even boycott the preorder guns, i think they have been charging for the preorders over here, that would make it more complex no?

oceancrown2681d ago (Edited 2681d ago )

Yer I pre ordered mine from game with the physical warfare pack,Got it for 30 pounds on pc :) But yer its hard to back out now :P

BabyTownFrolics2681d ago

DirtyLary2681d ago (Edited 2681d ago )

They should boycott CoD for the exclusive map packs on xbox and for the hight price too.

jagstatboy2681d ago

please tell us how a timed-exclusive is the same as "if you don't pre-order then you will never get the DLC".

I'm curious to where people are perceiving the price to be much higher from. Have people compared GAME's price to competitors? The price difference between Amazon (Traditionally one of the cheapest retailers) and GAME is £0.09 on the PC, and a shocking £0.10 on Console. Granted these prices might change a bit before release, but I doubt the difference will go beyond a fiver.
