Sony impressed at E3 by revealing a number of PlayStation 3 exclusives. But according to Sony’s Andrew House, this isn’t just about ensuring any old game is only available on the one console.
That's why I love PS. Wide variety you can't find elsewhere.
The amount of exclusive and third party content is quite impressive. Numerous interviews and statements have proven that Sony isn't interested in being a computer entertainment one-trick-pony.
You damn right! Exclusives, push the HW, gives identity to the brand and bring unique experiences...
Actually if you want to be real the ds/psp have more unique experiences.
Exactly. Almost every PS3 exclusive that comes out, I buy it. I never run out of games to play for this system.
Chrono Trigger 3 for PS3, announced e3 2012 *intraweborz implodez*
With Sonys console i have a huge variety of quality games to play something that no other company offers to me. Besides the games that i like the most are made by Sonys first party studios.
Well just take a look at games like littlebigplanet, infamous, motorstorm, demon souls, fat princess, star hawk and heavy rain and many others.
Each in a different genre. Halo and Gears, both in the shooter genre, yet they can't even match up to Uncharted.
Yes this is true, but the sales they garner is what keep these games coming year in and year out. Personally Halo is a very good game, its a very complete experience. Has a lot to offer. Gears on the other hand, i am not too fond of as i just cant seem to get a feel or a slight sense of emotion from the any of the characters nor its story. It for some reason feels like its dragged on. Multiplayer is fun though.
"PS3 exclusives are about "unique experiences"... Such as, "Heavy Rain, Little Big Planet, Modnation Racers, Uncharted Series, Metal gear Solid 4, God Of War 3"... Need i say more?
Dam str8! LBP Uncharted Heavy Rain inFamous God of War MGS 4 Flower All have a unique experiance in them that sets them apart from other games. I did not include Killzone or Resistance becuause to me they feel like any other generic shooter out on the market. Maybe I am being too harsh with KZ because I am sick of playing FPS and dont find any appeal in them anymore. Edit: I booted up LBP 1 last night and the game still amazes me with the graphics and content that the game offers.
"It’s less about exclusivity per se. It’s about unique experiences that are only possible with a particular console.” Uh-huh, I get how large storage and 3D may not be possible on 360. But all of it is possible on PC. So it IS about exclusivitiy per se, not about what's possible.
I think unique is right. Kind of dissapointed no one mentioned Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time. It's my favourite game on PS3. Also GOW3. They are at other ends of the spectrum from each other but are amazing.
Well thats the whole point of exclusives. Something unique that is not found anywhere else but i see where the writers is coming from. I am sure Sony do discuss with its devs what games they are making to ensure variety. Its way i will always support exclusives and why more than half of the games in my collection are PS3 exclusives.
i know that already sony but where are the 2012 exclusive games ? thats what i wanted to see at E3 !!!!
Sly 4, Starhawk, Dust? Wait until the end of the year man, that's when Sony usually make their new game annoucements.
well its just that i was waiting for more PS3 new game announcements at E3, out of all those games im only interested in Starhawk , Sly 4 a little bit and the shooter game dont care at all , where was The Last Guardian ? why dont they bring back The Getaway 3 and Eight Days ? where is Wardevil ? oh well playstation Vita saved the show for me
I think Getaway 3 and 8 Days are still in serious development hell. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Sony is actually saving them as PS4 launch titles. I'd say you should wait for the TGS later in the year for The Last Guardian, a demo and release date should be available by then.
yea im with you on ps4 , i think thats why we didnt see a lot of 2012 sony games , i think the majority of sony in house developers are working either on Vita or PS4
@remauntd55 dude, be patient. we just got june 2011 and you want 2012? why so hurry? ^^ for 2012 we got: - Ni no Kuni - Versus XIII (only God knows if this game will stay exclusive) - The Last Guardian - Agent - Tales of Graces F - Atelier Meruru etc there's so much time for saving up some money until this games comes out next year
yes i know what you guys are saying but its just that im used to see sony bring lots of first party games every year that 2012 line up doesnt look on par with past years but yes you guys are right its still early , perhaps they show more games at GamesCon or TGS anyways Vita is looking great !!!!
IMO Motorstorm Apocalyspe has become a really underrated gem. I feel that Apocalypse as well as the past Motorstorms are great examples of the Playstation experience.
Amen to that , LUNATICS UNITE!!!!!!!!!
sony have always been about variety, and quality, not even ms or ninty is able to provide this they just keep on releasing lots of rehashed games like halo x edition or mario bros the billionth remake, tbh microsoft and ninty are so predictable and what i love about sony is how they keep on inventing new I.P's and new experiences just like what they achieved with heavy rain they have never let me down, playstation gamer for life
David Jaffe Dylan Cuthbert Jenova Chen Kazunori Yamauchi David Cage Amy Hennig Fumito Ueda Mark Cerny MMolecule And now you can add Ken Levine to the list, that is the heavyweights of the industry. Imagine they came together to work on 1 game!?!
I just DL LBP as part of my Welcome Back. I must say that the experience is unique to say the least. Reminds me dropping LSD back in school. That game is unbelievably bent.
lol, nothing unique was revealed at Sony E3 conf Everything was known or revealed before.
That's true. From God of War series & Uncharted series to Heavy Rain. Each game bring a unique experience, especially Uncharted 2 & Heavy Rain!
