Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are known for their brilliant social commentary on their long running Comedy Central staple "South Park". In the latest episode they pulled no punches in addressing Rockstar's popular detective game L.A. Noire.
hopefully they make a full episode about MW3...when they went after WoW, that was gold the Nintendo Wii episode was hilarious as well
Watch this xDDD. http://youtu.be/izHHAMmG7bQ
totally forgot that lol
hahah yeah i think it was in the crack baby episode
"hopefully they make a full episode about MW3" Well, just don't expect any critical commentary after that "The Ungroundables" episode, which was more or less a commercial for World at War.
@M4I0N3 No it wasn't, the Tiger Woods episode was like 2 seasons ago, the crack baby basketball was new just 3 weeks ago. Two completely different episodes.
Crowd: Randy! Randy! Randy! Man: We love you Randy! Woman: Make love to me Randy!
They're not bashing it for God's sake. Stan is having major problems with his taste in general since he is 10 years old now. And he doesn't like what he used to before. He doesn't like the things he used to eat, he doesn't like the songs he listened before and same thing goes for video games. For God's sake LA Noire actually sponsored South Park for 2 weeks on southparkstudios.com. It's not possible for them to criticize it. They're doing the quite opposite.
I just wanted to write that.
i agree with you but "not possible" for try and matt, thats blasphemy :P
Um, someone doesn't get it. They weren't really bashing anything.
I get it, but the headline let's people make that conclusion on their own.
What? How does "South Park Bashes LA Noire" let people draw their own conclusion about whether or not it was bashed? Seems pretty declarative in one direction to me.
You're right they weren't. This video is shown out of context, if you see the rest of the episode then you'd know why hes so negative. Not just against LA Noire, but against everything.
Ya its way out of context. And this crap is a non issue anyway. South Park is probably ending soon, that's the headline from the episode.
Exactly. Something blown out of context for hits again.
I watched this last night. Stan said exactly what i thought about La Noire. I must see everything as shit as well.
How dare you have a negative opinion of a Rockstar-published game! You are a Negative Nancy! /s I feel the same way about it, too. It doesn't matter what choices you make, the evidence collection holds your hand the whole way, and the shooting/driving sections are hardly anything special. The game sucks. That's right, I said it.
I think you have the same disease as Stan does in this episode.
These guys are freaking awesome!
does any one know the name of the episode ?
Your getting old, i believe
lol thank you for the reply i thought you where saying that i am getting old LOL because i didnt know what episode these is.
Yeah it seems Matt and Trey arent happy doing this anymore after what 15 years? Although I hate to see it end.. its inevitable.
This episode was depressing :(
It was a funny show but also true if you know what I mean. Just about everything in this world is shit.
So weird. I didn't see it as bashing. Its just a line. They even said he was CYNICAL. The whole theme was Kyle being over cynical. Bunk title. South Park rules. Their social commentary can be so creative sometimes.
Oddly they made valid points, lets face it there isnt much punishment for getting things wrong in the game, which is a big reason to why i dont think it's the 10/10 game people seem to think it is.
Ah, I was unaware that being punished is what makes a game good. I've been lied to all these years!
Take this for example, in Heavy Rain if i mess up a main cast member dies, they dont come back they die...it takes a large effect on the story. In La Noire if i make a mistake i get yelled at and that's about it. You may enjoy games that just let you auto win but i prefer to play a game that will change based on my actions
havent watched it yet but they shouldnt be takin shots at anybody considering there show has been shit for about 4 years now.
there not taking shots at anything not to ruin it because you might want to watch it but ( he hates everything in that episodes for a reason)
It's South Park. I think that's why he hates everything in the episodes.
lol shit for 4 years? the last four years since season 11 was the fking best, they made it even better than before, and they didn't bash it, if they did, it might have won an emmy though cuz LA Noire sucked ass....
The ending... definitely makes me want to watch the next South Park.
the game is shitty
South park bashes everything but unlike Fanboys their actually funny
@[...] Linko64: I do love a challenging game, if it weren't for challenges I would leave all of my games on the shelf from whence they came. To me, punishment in a game (in mmos for example) are when you die, something dear is taken away ( usually a percentage of health) and if you keep failing, it gets to the point where you'll just have to start over because the boss you are trying to beat is too overpowered after a number of fails. So, Punishment and a challenge is two different things for me. But it is true that some punishments can add a challenge to a game, but usually they just get really annoying.
