I read the article but.....huh?

thugbob2567d ago (Edited 2567d ago )

The article is basically saying that not many people want to play a hardcore game like Assassin's Creed for instance on a small screen. The article also brings up that most gamers would rather buy a game like Assassin's Creed on 360/PS3 in order to avoid the tacted on gimmicks the WiiU version will offer.

KeiserSosay47882567d ago

I understood the article it was just sort of...idk...stupid imo. The main thing I like is the possibly of going to pinch a loaf playing BF3 online and not having to just leave the controller and not play. I gotta get my game on man!

N4g_null2567d ago

I though hardcore gamers bought the better running port. Also the tablet options are going to be options yet the power is still going to be better.

These same reasons are why the vita will not sell at all. I think this fan is mad that nintendo is going to beat Sony at their own game when it comes to the vita. You will have to plug it up yet it doesn't let you play real console games, you have to wait on the port.

scissor_runner,
How on earth does the WiiU controller "beat" the Vita??
You are clearly mis-informed in regards to the specs and capabilities of the hardware.
You believe the WiiU controller is more than it is and the Vita is less, and for that, you are wrong.

If you honestly think you are right please elaborate & explain...i'm waiting with baited breath.

"The article is basically saying that not many people want to play a hardcore game like Assassin's Creed for instance on a small screen. "

Then turn on the TV, and use the Wiiu controller as a secondary screen like inventory or anything like that.

@sidar

Oh yeah, that seems like a great reason to buy a new console, to play most of the games I can already get with the promise of my inventory being on a different screen. The future is truly bright.

1) Big time devs/pubs aren't going to waste time on the convoluted gimmicks in their core games.

2) Why would you want to play "1080p *Cough*Not Native*cough*" on an ugly little tablet controller with a small screen?

3) Using touchscreen for stuff like inventory, and then when you switch to playing on the little screen...??

4) They literally didn't show ANYTHING real at E3. Everything was conceptual or ps3/360 footage. Not mention a serious lack of first party games (Zelda was also conceptual, not real time). They have a year, I guess, but if they don't have anything now, what's going to launch with the system from them?

5) The last company that did the screen thing was SEGA, soooo.....
lol

Not to mention, half of the "core" games in that video have a release date of THIS YEAR. So by the time they release on the WiiUHeSheMeWumbo in 2012, they'll be old news anyway!

Was the article THAT hard to understand?

"I though hardcore gamers bought the better running port. Also the tablet options are going to be options yet the power is still going to be better. These same reasons are why the vita will not sell at all"
First of all, can I get this translated into English?
Second of all, Nintendo said that the WiiU will be "on par" with the ps3/360 and they didn't show anything real time other than that ugly tech demo with the bird. So, WiiU is NOT necessarily stronger than the Ps3/360. And what does this have to do with Vita? Its competition is the *3DS*. If you think power is the deciding factor here, then Vita is obviously at an advantage.....not to mention its for the same price and has WAYYYY superior control options.

"Zelda was also conceptual, not real time"

Zelda was real time, you have control over lighting and camera angles, cant do that with a video.

100% agree bro bubbles for SilentNegot....

1) Big time devs/pubs aren't going to waste time on the convoluted gimmicks in their core games.

so i guess EA, UBI, irrational, THQ arn't big time devs taht are already on board......and the dreamcast was one of the best systems

you sir are a troll everyone who played it at e3 is loving it

krazykombatant2567d ago

So whats whats the problem if some of the games will be years late... did you miss the part of the Nintendo presentation in which you had a new luigi's mansion, brawl, Mario, I'm sure pikmin will also be in the works as well as kirby. They announced plenty of core games for the new console.

Furthermore, I didn't see any ps3 users complaining when Mass Effect came to the ps3 a year later. Oh yeah they were all gloating "we got your exclusive LOOOOOOOOOL". Same goes for 360 owners no of you including myself has a problem playing the witcher 2 six months after its release. Put a lid in it. No one knows the exact specs yet, or what the new games will be like and everyone is immediately ohhhh noooo ninty sucks they should go the way of SEGA then i can play mario on my ps3/360.
