While I think it's great that Lara gets a serious reevaluation, I wish they had thought of this a long time ago.

People are looking at this as Lara's Uncharted, which is a shame imo for a classic character like her. CD had all the tools to get there first and repeatedly squandered them.

On a more positive note, I'll definitely be giving the game a try anyway.

There's no doubt that Uncharted's success inspired to do this reboot. It will be as cinematic as uncharted but a different gameplay overall.

I am really liking this reboot so far, so as log as the gameplay is fun, I'll buy it first day. It has the potential to be as good as Uncharted.

I think it's worthy noting through that Uncharted evolved more for the shooter than for the platforming, while from what I see Tomb Raider is going the other way.

Yes both games still on basically the same genre and indeed it looks like TR will get the more cinematic treatment much based on Uncharted's success, but I think both games can get along well.

I really like the hub exploration. Hopefully this isn't linear & you can mix it up. Hope also combat is more involved & doesn't hold your hand...
