Wii U console and controller won't be sold separately

CVG: "We asked a company spokesperson at the firm's VIP stand at E3 2011 in Los Angeles today about the price of each item. He told us that there would only be one bundled RRP, adding: "Both the controller and the console will be sold as one unit. You won't be able to buy the controller alone."

i don't thin that will be the case these gaming companies make money of selling controllers so i doubt they wouldn't sell em individually for whatever reason

Perhaps he was confirming that the controller is not a console and that you need the controller to use WITH the console.

"You wont be able to buy the controller alone" may mean you can't expect to buy just the controller and play the games.

I'm sure that it will be sold separately, it's too moronic not to and CVG is too unreliable of a site.

if this is true (only one person using tablet in every game)this seems kind of stupid.

Sorry, wrong post

Well thats were online play comes into the picture. And the games they were showing at E3 were designed around the fact that one person has the controller while others play with Wii Remotes. It works well. Watch the demos of people playing or read a preview.

Don't worry. The PS4 will support multiple tablet, and you'd praise them as the most innovative company in the world for doing that, am I right?

I'm sure the ps4 would just use 4 vitas.

It's sad that you have to clarify that, should be obvious, but after looking at their reveal, I can see why it wasn't crystal clear.

I think it's a communication error either on CVG's part or the unaccountable VIP.

So if the controller somehow breaks, we have to buy a new console? =|
