The problem I am having is I don't know how the 3G one works. I need to know about the service plan before I shell out for the 3G one. Either way, I am getting this sexy device day 1!

Edit: Does Amazon charge the full price when I preorder it, or do they charge me when the item ships?

No they dont jidery they charge when ships.....Well I reserved the 3G version just in case the service plan is good. If not will cancel and get the WIFI version.

I heard with the 3DS pre-orders that Amazon didn't charge until it was shipped, though I'm not sure if that is still the same.

I got Kindle from amazon and they charged me right before it was shipped

@I_find_it_funny:
I guess a few days before release would make sense, as purchases on the site are taken out instantly via credit cards usually...so perhaps once they are boxing the Vita up, and preparing them for shipping they make the charge?

Did you pre-order the Kindle, or just order from them after it was available?
