3 reasons why Call of Duty: Elite might not be as bad as you think (Bitmob)

Charging fans a monthly fee for bonus Call of Duty content is a tough sell, but things might not be as bad as they sound.

The story is too old to be commented.

I don't see how it's bad period it's offering new features off the bat and is initially free.
You don't have to pay a dime and still get all kind of free features and for those on the fence all activision needs to include is some kind of dlc deal and it'll sell like hot cakes.
I think it's more aimed at the pro call of duty players though such as the MLG guys.

problem with all subscription is once you built up a history you are loathed to move... and then once you are suckered in then watch the annual fees go up.. this is the model with all subscription based services .. be that from xbox live to psn+ to world of warcraft... all subs start really cheap but once the audience is captivated the prices start to go up pretty fast...

say that they confirm the price will be locked though?

Trust me, the "pro" players are already aware of these things. These are optional stats for the lesser skilled people who wish to improve. So no, I highly doubt it's aimed for "pro" players, but aimed for those who wish to gain more from their gaming than they currently can.

Also, Elite gives you free DLC if you are subscribed.
