First Screens of Call of Duty MW3 from E3 Press Conference

GPT: "Activision showed off some great footage of the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 to open up the Microsoft Press Conference. The action showed a pretty impressive mission where you and your team disable a sub and force a surface of the submersible enemy vehicle. Below you'll find a bunch of screens from the action. Looks like this one is shaping up to be another hit. What do you think based on what you've seen so far?"

That looks pretty intense. Hope it's not jam packed with quick time events.

If it's on PS3, expect a lot of FMV and QTE

Mr Tretton2662d ago

@kennykramer, lame joke there bud.

Story looked good, the graphics look the same..

egidem2662d ago

Yes. Graphics were the same, especially the water effects...they looked cheap. Storyline looks very interesting.

MWong2662d ago (Edited 2662d ago )

I agree, I think we'll be seeing the same graphics we saw in BO. (not saying they were bad, but nothing new) I have a feeling we're going to get a great story though. So the main question is how does the MP look & play???

Gamingisfornerds2662d ago

The graphics are fantastic. I know it's hip to hate on everything COD, but c'mon..you have to admit these visuals are excellent!

zero_gamer2662d ago

I've seen better on other games, like Uncharted 2 for example. Not at all impressed with the "amazing" visuals.

waterboy2662d ago

why wouldnt uncharted 2 look better its an exclusive ps3 game not a multiplatform game which uses middleware meaning not focused on one platform amature

arjman2662d ago

They're not fantastic -__-
They're exactly the same as they have been for the last few years. BF3 is what's right with game development, CoD is what's wrong with game development.

Gamingisfornerds2661d ago

They are not? Oh well, I'll take your word for it.

You obviously have a much better idea of what I think looks impressive than I do myself.

arjman2661d ago

Not trying to force my opinion on your's, I'm just telling the truth.

Every CoD game since 4 has been made using the same engine, Activision are literally the worst developers when it comes to milking a game until it's dead and ripping off customers.

When I see games like Battlefield and Metro I get annoyed at how limiting CoD has become and how lazy Activision are. They could easily spend the money they made (billions) and make a new engine for CoD, pushing the graphics further along for this gen, but they refuse too because they're (that's correct btw) greedy.

Gamingisfornerds2661d ago (Edited 2661d ago )

Ahaha, the "truth" eh? Well, call it what you want, I think the engine still looks great! Sure, Activision are milking the sh*t out of it, and you could possibly call them lazy (and definitely greedy). But the fact of the matter is, I was impressed with what I saw today. That's all I can say really.

And yeah, Battlefield 3 is on whole different level, but you have to realise that what you've seen of BF3 is on PC. BF3 on consoles will not look any better than MW3, or maybe ever so slightly.

You know who desperately needs a new engine? Valve.

Fishy Fingers2662d ago

The COD gameplay was my favourite part of the show so far. Take that as you will.

Grodd2662d ago

Looks good. I get all of the COD's anyway. I wasn't a big fan of MW2 but this looks like a big step in the right direction.
