Musings on the first couple of hours of gameplay. From an initial reaction of disappointment to how it starts to become enjoyable.
As graphics do not always make a good game (S.T.AL.K.E.R any one?) Personally I felt offended and at this point I stopped reading. Also learning how to Proof Read your articles for errors (it's S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) might make you a better writer. STALKER is a classic title unlike any other.
Good point on the proof reading, taken on board. However, I think you've misinterpreted the point about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - that was a reference to a game without great graphics that was truly excellent; demonstrating, in my opinion, the point.
IDK the way I read it seemed like he stated STALKER had good graphics but the game sucked. I think STALKER has good graphics and the game was excellent (my favorite series behind Half Life) and the atmosphere and environment was the best ever.
But we all know that S.T.A.L.K.E.R's graphics weren't the best but it was a absolutely fantastic game - I don't see how you could think he was saying the opposite? The way it was written is fine - its just that you thought S.T.A.L.K.E.R had great graphics.
