ICO + Shadow of the Colossus boxset revealed, priced, and dated

Dengeki PlayStation reveals Sony Computer Entertainment's designs for the ICO + Shadow of the Colossus boxset and the individual covers.

All editions will release on September 22, 2011 in Japan.
The idividual games are priced at ¥3,980.
The boxset is priced at ¥6,980.

Unlike most other territories, the remakes of the Team ICO classics are individual releases in the Japanese market. However, Sony will be offering the ICO/Wander to Kyozo Limited Box ("Wander to Kyozo" is the Japanese name for Shadow). This set includes both titles, a special box, a special 100 page booklet from magazine publisher BRUTUS, and dynamic custom themes for both titles. (ICO / Shadow of the Colosuss, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, PS3, Team Ico Collection)

It'll be SCEA's fault if we don't get the boxset edition here.

Just order it from Play-Asia. I don't think Sony will be missing this opportunity though, they know these games have a lot of fans in western territories.
news4geeks  +   1369d ago
yeah, all 10 of them. It's a niche title.

SotC sold over a million copies worldwide. ..
Regardless of sales, this is a game that needs to be played by anyone who has a chance to play it.

This is game design at its best.

Unique. Epic.

That would work to get the game, but most of us prolly don't speak Japanese and would like an English version.

RockmanII7  +   1369d ago
That comes out to $49 and $87, I wonder if that means this could be $60 in US. Hopefully not.
TheHater  +   1369d ago
You'r complaining about a HD remake with 7.1 sound and 3D for two of the best games of all time being possibly $60?
RockmanII7  +   1369d ago
Well the GoW and Sly collections were $40, so I would think that this would be $40 too and I'm hoping to get the lowest possible price tag.

Holy fucking god that is beautiful. If we get the US boxart I will seriously find a way to vomit on the face of the US boxart team. Seriously, boxart is becoming nothing but crummy labels these days. That is just out of this world. I would shell out 90 for that. These games are important.

If we get the old American ICO box art, I will personally pay SCEA a visit.

I will drive from San Francisco to Foster City, I will kick open their front doors, ignore the receptionist, pepper-spray any security dopes, throw a brofist at K.B., and march up to Jacky-boy himself to present my demands.

waltyftm  +   1369d ago
SotC will look so good you will cry with joy everytime you see it.
schlanz  +   1369d ago
2 separate discs? That's kind of dumb.. why not package them together in one case ala GOW collection?
Oldman100  +   1369d ago
To my knowledge they are sold separately in japan only. All other territories will be sold together on one blu ray disc like the gow collection.
schlanz  +   1369d ago
Ah. Cool. Thanks for the info

Japan gets it in September, and rest of us expect it to be some time next year?
