GameDynamo - "With the NBA and NHL seasons nearing the finals, baseball picking up, and a labor dispute in the NFL, I got to thinking: what are the best representations of sports in video gaming? EA Sports blazed a trail in the 90s with sports games that were no longer filled with fat little cartoon players and instead focused on realism and simulation of the real thing. Basketball games started having full rosters and season modes, the historic Madden franchise focused on realism, and so on. So, in 2011, what five games have really nailed down a video game experience that is comparable to the game on the field? This was the hardest list to compile because there are a lot of worthy games out there, but we did our best!"
It’s been almost a decade since the critically acclaimed Fight Night Champion, the final title in a series of beloved boxing video games from Electronic Arts. Since 2011, the studio has been focused on its mixed martial arts title, UFC, instead. But with the rise of the popularity of boxing again, thanks to fighters like Floyd Mayweather and Tyson Fury, could we possibly have another Fight Night game on the way?
I honestly cannot state enough just how much i want a new fight night!!!
Boxing is one of my fav sports to watch and it has been way to long since iv had a game to enjoy.
Undisputed looks like a ps3 game, cmon EA, stuff UFC, give the people what we really want which is a boxing game!!!
IT'SSSSSSSS FIIIIIIGHT NIIIIIIGHT!!!!
I hope they make it like round four instead of champions but ill take any fight night at this point
They need to go back to the good roots of FN R2 and FN R3. Everything after watered down the formula too much and enabled gimmicks. FNR2&3 are some of the greatest fighting games ever.
From Xfire: "Sports games are the average Joe's best chance at getting to play under the big bright lights with thousands of people in the stands watching their every move. It doesn't matter if you're a hoops junkie or a baseball fan, sports video games let you live out your hopes and dreams."

In the words of the great Stone Cold Steve Austin Ooooh Hell Yeeeeah!!! lol. Also it would be sweet if EA gave us a new Def Jam Fighting game with a roster of Rappers that's unheard of. Biggie.Pun.Pac.Jam Master Jay.Eminem.JayZ.Eazy E.MGK.Naz. and over 60 of the best rappers ever past and present. One can only hope.
I'd take out madden and put either NBA 2K11 or NFL2K5.
Where's Gran Turismo 5 and/or Forza Motorsport 3? Racing is a sport...
I'm surprised that BOTH 2K football and basketball are absent. Not a worthy list without NFL 2K5 and NBA 2K11.
Pfft, Fight Night Champion should be at the TOP of the list.
