I agree. I don't like the 360 because I would never support Microsoft.

@t0mmyb0y you can join me and sony as we treat kaveti6616's mom like the lowest of lows

i never have trusted any of my information on the net so its nothing against Sony and ive been doing this WAY before the network went down. if i buy something off the PSN or the net i put in my payment info then go back and delete anything that connects me. its more of a hassle but i feel more secure doing it that way OR buy a credit gift card and use that instead of my personal card

gamingdroid2637d ago

I don't trust anyone, but if there is anything I know, it is a system is designed with security in mind from scratch and it is a business management issue.

You don't just patch it in later as it is an ongoing activity or install some whiz bang technology that solves your problem.

Is PSN going to be more secure? I believe so and I expect so.

Max_Dissatisfaction2637d ago

Some companies have great security and keep UPDATING them from there on

gamingdroid2637d ago

I agree, but it is by design from the outset.

You can try and patch it up with layers and layers, but then your system is large, unwieldy, inefficient and hard to maintain (which is itself a security problem).

Security by design, not an afterthought.

egidem2637d ago

This will literally be like an unintended invitation for the hackers to a higher challenge.

Menech2637d ago

Am sorry but Microsoft has 500x more experience then Sony when it comes to dealing with security threats and they always will.

That may be so but do these competitors have a hackers doing some sort of lame vendetta against the whole brand. No...

Uncharted3Goty2637d ago

i am not flaming here but it did happen to Micosoft recently a hacker attacked the system so it doesnt not only happen to sony it happened to Micosoft as well.

mendicant2637d ago (Edited 2637d ago )

There is a very big difference in being attacked and being compromised.

B1663r2637d ago

And there is a difference again between being compromised and totally pwned across 3 continents and about five different networks.

Edit: I misunderstood what you wrote, my apologies.

That's called being smart. Why not take someone with obvious talents and redirect them? You think other companies don't do that, namely Sony? Get real.

gamingdroid2637d ago (Edited 2637d ago )

MS have been doing that even before PSN being compromised.

You don't tempt the masses because you can't win. You beat one down, and another two will pop up.

Besides with the masses, invariably somebody will find a hole, because it is impossible to test code 100%.

hiredhelp2637d ago

i dont give a flying [email protected]@@ what any of you 360 guys think but sony hasnt given in . Microsoft has never been hit as bad as sony they never had threats via stupid video messages or there perosnal infomation taken.

If microsoft got hit this way they be [email protected] themselvs, i mean look at the past post microsoft nuture a kid that hacked them.

No Way2637d ago (Edited 2637d ago )

He hacked em? No he didn't. He tried to, and Microsoft noticed his skills.
He is a young boy, who has skills and got offered a job and or training.
It's a smart idea by Microsoft, Sony could have had Hotz help them..
Hell, if I'm not mistaken, I do believe Hotz 'offered' to help Sony.

They refused.

Let's face it, if you're targeted, it's only a matter of time- no matter who you are.

Bluemaster772637d ago

I take it they have to say things of this nature to rouse the morale

SuperSaiyan42637d ago

Is Sony saying they have tried or going to try to hack Microsoft in order for their claim to be real?? Sony are imcompetent when it comes to hardware yes that is their field, when it comes to software thats Microsoft's field.

Microsoft will always have better security than Sony, Microsoft is way bigger than Sony.

Uncharted3Goty2637d ago

its not sony who said it read the article theres no reason to go over board here

iamnsuperman2637d ago (Edited 2637d ago )

At least speak some truth instead of trolling. Sony are good with hardware and Microsoft are good with software. They both have hiccups in their field (Microsoft with windows but that doesn't mean they are incompetent like Sony is not). Some people these days

Did you not even read the 1st lines?

Trolling is not good for you.

Baka-akaB2637d ago

stop commenting upon subjects obviously beyond your ken .

And nope it's not a personal attack , just a fact , if that's how you read such a line
