Wow Thats A Low Price: Get A Xbox 360 Pro 20GB Microsoft Refurbished For $99

Starting 6/1 Gamestop will be selling Refurbished Xbox 360 Pro 20GB's for $99. (GameStop, Microsoft, Tag Invalid, Xbox 360)

I've had 2 360's fail on me but that price tag is tempting. I'm considering it.
HolyOrangeCows  +   1245d ago
Then why would you consider buying what is literally the most death-prone model?
kneon  +   1245d ago
The 4gb model is often on sale for $129. If you're in the market for an XBox and don't want to spend much then it's probably worth the extra $30 despite the smaller storage.

Dont buy it, spend the extra money on the slim model to be safe. I sold my pro model for the slim.
tmoss726  +   1245d ago
Agreed, the slim is quieter has well, plus you won't have to worry about getting a bigger drive.

save your money and buy something better
MMFGaming  +   1245d ago
Do you know where I can find it for $130?
BlackHulk  +   1245d ago
pair this with a gamestop warranty and you'll be fine man
fluffydelusions  +   1245d ago
Not necessarily. When/if it dies and they don't have any 20gb pros left to exchange you may end up being stuck with store credit. Honestly, I'm not quite sure how their warranty plan works. I've been screwed by gamestop a few times and had to get stuck with store credit.

if you are not sure about the warranty why are you commenting on it? People want facts not your opinion!
insomnium2  +   1245d ago
One might even think the stock won't be running out any time soon.
LiamIRL82  +   1245d ago
Forget about the old models. Go for the slim version instead, a much more reliable machine.

Crazy how 360s seem to be getting pushed hard right before E3. Something tells me that Microsoft will finally announce a new console.
fluffydelusions  +   1245d ago
That or a price cut. Honestly, I think the best thing is to wait till E3 and see what MS announce. If they knock the 4gb to $150 you'd be better off picking that up.

Wow, I have an old refurbished core with a 20gb hdd and I would sell it for less than half that without blinking an eye.

Seriously, I would.

1. No HDMI
2. Refurbished junk
3 I also have a 60gb "Jasper"
fluffydelusions  +   1245d ago
Aren't those the ones that would consistently die from RROD? Why waste money on that? I'm sure people would buy them though...unknowing people that is.

Not reliable. Go for the Slim that does not RROD.
The old Xbox360's die constantly.
Prcko  +   1245d ago

You looking for a ban or something? You've got just 1 bubble and you come in here and troll with your PS3 comment in a topic that has nothing to do with the PS3! Some of us aren't limited to just 1 platform you know.

Great deal. I still have my launch 360 however. Perhaps it hasn't bricked on me because i actually take care of it and don't place it on the carpet?
Youjustjelly  +   1245d ago
Get the 250gig Slim instead you wont regret it.
Inside_out  +   1245d ago
Buy the 360 S
.
It's not the worst deal out there because of the extended warranty that M$ offers but why buy the older machines when the 360 S is a much better investment. I have an older unit as well as the newer 360 S, there is no comparison. Don't forget on top of running near silent, the new 360 S has the wireless built in as well.

In regards to the 360 S, get the 250 gb version. The 4 gb, as you can imagine is useless.

Anytime there is a push to get rid of the older models, it usually means a new console is on the way. Maybe all the rumors of a new console is true. I have always said M$ needs a new console and would have one at holiday 2012. The cancellation of Halo 4 this year convinced me that Halo 4 will be a launch title on a new M$ console.
Darkspade  +   1245d ago
Buy a 4gb console.. you can buy or make a 250gb hdd for the slim for $50, this would save you a few bucks in the long run
Darkspade  +   1245d ago
but to remember Gamestop using there own Repair team. These are not Microsoft Refurbished as the Story states.. there 1 year warranty is $20 and well worth it..
Raven_Nomad  +   1245d ago
Great deal! Comes with a HDD as well. Clearly MS is trying to relieve their stock of older 360 models. Not bad at all, I myself still had my old launch 360 until I bought the new 360s last year and the 20 gig HDD was more then enough.

Seriously, avoid refurbs like the plague.
