Video Game Censorship: A Love Story

GP blogger, DoctorStrangeLove writes, "This is a censorship I can understand. Violence in games is pretty easy to ignore, but violence on the cover can almost never be avoided by the random grandmothers perusing the gaming section. Even though they're just there so they can ask a sales associate where they sell the foul smelling aftershave (Love you grandma). Germany took a very simple approach to this gore problem by replacing the cover with a normal, fully functioning zombie hand. While it doesn't exactly get across the desperation and violence of the game itself, its still a perfectly reasonable change to the case. A much sillier, but still understandable censorship of the game case can be found in the good ole' UK."
