Activision’s Rebuild of Call of Duty’s Multiplayer

SG: In a bizarre, jaw-dropping move, Activision is doing something it’s never done before: listening to its customers. For the past few years, constant complaints from avid gamers about the once ground-breaking, now cookie-cutter multiplayer of Call of Duty, have fallen upon deaf ears. Most people thought this was because Activision stopped caring since they knew that they would break world records with every new iteration they dropped, regardless of what it had to offer. But it turns out, that is not the case.

"In a statement released by Mr. Robert Kotick, he explained that even though Activision may seem like they don’t give a damn about their customers and all they care about is raping them for all they own, in reality, they have been listening to everyone’s concerns and working tirelessly to give gamers a fresh, new experience."

Liar.

How about rebuilding it back to the original fun game--CoD4. 3 Killstreaks only, more balanced guns (not perfect, but better than other CoD games), and better maps. Also, back then map packs only cost $10 a piece instead of the ridiculous $15 a piece. If they do that, then I'll bite and get MW3. Make me happy, IW and Acti.

Here's what I want:
KILLSTREAKS:
3-UAV
5-Airstrike
7-Helicopter

-Dedicated Servers for console versions (360 and PS3)
-No Commando perk
-No Infrared Sniper Scope
-Some type of punishment for camping
-No quick-scoping ability (maybe a delay for the aim button)

I can't think of anymore but basically bring it back to what made you all so famous for multiplayer--back to CoD4 gameplay and maps.

@bozebo
Of course I'd prefer FREE map packs, but I don't think that'll ever happen. Activision are quite greedy.

I really wish they'd give us a map creator, so we could make our own and use them with friends and upload our maps to the server for others to use and modify. Take Sony's Play.Create.Share strategy from LBP and InFamous 2 and apply it to Call of Duty. People would love that!

You mean free map packs? They should always be free like they were on PC in cod4. Also the maps were just generally better in cod4.

Paid dlc should only exist if it is a large addition like BC2 Vietnam, or the GTA4 dlc. Theres no excuse to charge more than about $3 for a map pack. Infact, they would probably make more money if the dlc was cheaper because exponentially more people would buy it (steam sales prove anything? lots of games sold more in 1 week of sale than their entire first year of release).

DLC was usually free on PC and still often is (all cdproject red pc dlc will always be free forever, pc got more new free bc2 maps too). Console DLC should be free too of course.

Theres no need to take anything out of the game if they provide dedis because the admins can tweak the settings for balance - don't like them? find a different server.

Also, the helicopter killstreak is junk. Maby a nerfed chopper gunner would be better.
