Infinity Ward: Very Important Modern Warfare PS3 is Equal to Xbox 360 Version

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be one of the biggest and highest selling titles of 2011. Even with great competition coming from EA’s Battlefield 3, Call of Duty has a committed and hardcore fanbase that no game will be able to sway. However, PS3 owners have often got a less than stellar version of the Call of Duty entries. Call of Duty: Black Ops has had struggles online and many prefer the experience on the Xbox 360 due to better performance. Infinity Ward is looking to offer an identical experience for all this time.

That makes me feel better.

darthv722335d ago

The technical differences to comprise both systems prevent true equality. I will gladly settle for the best parity they can make.

egidem2335d ago

Translation: "We want the ps3 there to be present as a platform just because we want to increase sales. We want you to buy our game. We don't give a crap about whether the Xbox 360 version turns out to be better than the PS3 one"

JayD-1K2334d ago (Edited 2334d ago )

I most agree with you on this! I really hate to agree with you but, I almost feel like there's no other reason for the statement.

Just think about how many people have said the same thing just,to have the game come out looking like crap!

Heartnet2334d ago

Or it could mean they want the ps3 to be equal to the 360 version so taht the players game enojy there game more...

Ur statement reeks u want every game for free lol.. every game cost money and every company will do what ever to get it lol... Its not just CoD!

Is the PC version better though and not some console port?

theonlylolking2335d ago (Edited 2335d ago )

The PC version of COD has always been better. The PC version is just not as much better than the console versions because they want all 3 to be close to each other in terms of equality.

I do not believe what they are saying but then again MW2 IMO was better on PS3 except for the DLC coming out first for 360 and server issues. Black ops on the other hand was crap on PS3.

IW is probably telling the truth because the past COD's they have done on the PS3 are very well made like the 360 version but most of the IW peeps left.

FYI, I have COD4 on PS3, MW2 on 360 and PS3, and black ops on 360.

Rikan2334d ago

Console port or not, its always better given the ability to increase resolution, texture, AA etc...

Speakindatruth2334d ago (Edited 2334d ago )

This'll be fun, watching how my PS3 version will be screwed over when it starts. They both tend to have problems (XBL doesn't really tend to help lack of dedicated servers and laggy shit players), but the 360 version always seems to perform better with every release--except for the release of CoD4, when the game actually felt quite equal, and before it was corrupted by Microsoft.
I may own both systems, but nothing makes me pissed more than looking at the shipping bills of my 10 RRODs.

(anybody get the Colbert reference in the title? lol)

Rikan2334d ago

XBL>PSN.

While I'm a PC gamer, I have both consoles. PSN is terrible, 'dedicated servers' or not. Sounds to me like your XBL issues are on your end, as I have not ever really had lag issues (save unified issues during a match).

Speakindatruth2334d ago (Edited 2334d ago )

Again, duh. XBL>PSN. It's like you didn't even read my comment though--I said nothing wrong with XBL--just said it doesn't tend to help CoD with lack of dedicated servers, it's still got the same shit going for it. However, the 360 tends to have better connections thanks to the updated netcard. XBL is still more functional than PSN, no doubt about that, but they still both tend to have problems.
Don't get the disagree, frankly :/

Eternus2335d ago (Edited 2335d ago )

Considering that MS is in bed with COD? I doubt that lol.

LiamIRL822335d ago

Yeah but Infinity Ward do put effort in. They had their best programmers work on COD4 to make sure the PS3 version was as close to the 360 as possible. Treyarch are not nearly as talented as Infinity Ward tbh.

LOGICWINS2335d ago

I agree. Both the PS3 and 360 versions of COD4 were very close.

Cobra12335d ago

Infinity Ward as it now exists is damaged goods. All the Real Talent out of that company left. I expect Treyarch's last offering will be better than this new game that comes out and many, many people will be screaming bloody murder at the garbage they're going to deliver. Also, I don't believe for a second that the PS3 version will be equal to the 360 version. Modern Warfare and MW2 both carried the exact same issues at launch. If a developer was going to learn and fix things, we should have never had those matchmaking and other online issues with MW2 on PS3.

theEx1Le2334d ago

You can't say that for certain, only half the staff left. that still leaves half a team that were good enough to be there in the first place.

jaosobno2335d ago

You are aware that the most talented people left Infinity Ward right?

I believe that what remained is less than stellar crew.

DarkFantasy2335d ago

that remains to be seen,I for one am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt why not,we will know when MW3 is out why judge them before they get a chance to prove themselves,it's not fair and im sure you wouldn't like to be judged like that lets see what they can do,hell michael jordan was told he sucks at basketball and he should quit, but guess what he became a famous and popular basketball player and one of the best.. if they fail then call then failures but don't say they suck before right from they can show us what they got,IW the balls in you're court! don't screw this up!!

egidem2335d ago (Edited 2335d ago )

Yep...the guys who made Modern Warfare the best game are now gone, all because Bobby didn't want to share the peanuts, but wanted them all to himself.

xTruthx2335d ago

The good people from infinity ward are now in Respawn
