E3 2011 Anticipation: NGP (PSP2) and PSP1

Gamezone: Four months ago, when the NGP was unveiled, I didn’t spend much time thinking about the way the system would interface with PlayStation 3. That, however, was before the rumors for Wii 2 (aka Project Café) began to pour in.

I really hope there is something about Final Fantasy announced!

I want Versus 13 sooo badly. And please let it still be exclusive. We need a REAL FF game this time around.

They better unveil some kick ass games for NGPs launch, so it can outshine the 3DS's. Don't get me wrong, I like the 3DS, but the launch games were pretty crappy.

I loooove the 3DS, but it doesn't belong in the newsroom!

You know they have done studies, they say it works 60 percent of the time every time.

the psp launch library was also better than the ds.

But thats not indicitive of future support

I'm looking forward to seeing what games are announced for the NGP at E3. I'd really like to see another portable Twisted Metal someday.

athmaus2641d ago

Im curious to see what is offered, but i really dont have high hopes

Rybakov2641d ago

I really hope the NGP isn't the price of a new console that will be the deal breaker.....i want it so bad but i gotta think about bills first....if they announce some awesome launch titles then i may consider....Gravity Daze looks awesome for the only game that isn't a working title

Can almost be certain its gonna be priced similar to buying a PS3. I reckon around $500-$600 NZD. Then you need to add the cost of buying a memory card if you plan to use it for non-gaming media. Finally, to make it really worthwhile you need to buy a 3G plan.

If Sony does not throw in at least 1 free game at launch then be prepared to pay a price similar to buying a top end smartphone.

While I hope Sony does price it reasonably (between $250-350 USD), I think they'd be justified in pricing it around $400 considering the tech inside of it. I'm NOT gonna buy it at launch if it costs that much, BUT they'd still be justified to price it that high. Consider the tech inside the thing and then look at how much a iPhone 4 or other high-end smartphone costs off-contract. The PSP2 is gonna be packing waaay more features and tech than anything else out there, as far as portable gaming goes.
