Digital distribution service Little Indie has been announced for PC.
Launching in July, the service will specialise in independent games, offering developers a commercial outlet with a variety of features, including achievements, automatic updates and social elements such as messaging and friends lists.
"Little Indie will be a platform exclusively for independent games," Z-Software CEO Andreas Heldt told DS.
"There are a lot of cool indie games out there which get little attention and we try to support them and show these games to a broader audience of interested gamers.
"The indie developers have access to an SDK which allows them to implement features like achievements, leaderboards or auto-updating into their games without having to worry about the specific implementation, thus saving time during development."
The service will require a "very lightweight" client that is designed to consume few system resources, as most features will be presented on its website.
