Looking Back On The PSN Login Exploit

A detailed look at the PlayStation Network Login Exploit which was exposed last week and later patched by Sony.
Giving further information about how the exploit was found, what was done with the information and providing the very video that was given to SCEE and Eurogamer. (PS3, Tag Invalid)

You know what would be crazy. If articles like these STILL get approved months from now. Like, does this REALLY matter now that the problem is fixed? The only people who should be worried about how the exploit was found was Sony..so they don't make the same mistake again.

"Additionally we had a member of staff post a link to the article over at N4G, which predictably ended up with a number of reports for being fake/spam/lame, we later updated our article to include more vital details, however the article was never approved, thus limiting our ability to spread the word to gamers. It’s worth noting at this point in time that the network was still vulnerable to attack."

Yeah, because tagging something as "Fake" despite the fact it was true, makes total sense.

Why alert users that their accounts are at risk when you can simply bury your heads in the sand and pretend it's all made up, right? >_>

Yeah, I remember way back when there was the PSN Login Exploit. Though it seems like it happened only yesterday...

It end just last week, do we really need a retrospective of the event so soon?

Whoever approved this needs to think long and hard about why he/she let this one through. Then hit yourself in the face.
