A possible sequel may be on the way for White Knight Chronicles II, if there is enough support.
yay, i love the WKC-series!
Personally I hated the game.
Id rather see a Dark Cloud 3 before a White Knight Chronicles III
Considering how good their games were on PS2 (Dark Cloud 1 & 2, Roque Galaxy, etc) this IP is garbage.
considering people bitched the same way when rogue galaxy was made instead of yet another dark cloud , who cares . Rogue too wasnt that much loved at release outside of japan . Can't wait personally , and also wish for a Rogue galaxy 2 someday .
3? Lol... i hated the 1st. So boring
ignored for hating on a ps3 exclusive
VERY GOOD i personnaly hope we get to see events of the dogma wars on the psp game first but there sure is room for more games..
Wheres SKV007? that mofo loves his WKC I tried to get into it, nearly completed it, i just lost interest, thats not to say i wont give WKC2 a whirl I didnt like it that your enemies could hit you with a normal attack even your 50ft away from them, runnin around your enemies in battle just seemed rather pointless The rest of it was "alright" i only pad £8 i think, cant complain (all that much)
you'll be happy with the changes they have made to the battle system then, since WKC2 basically addresses all of the problems you listed out.
Not to mention it includes an updated WKC with fixes to those problems
Unexpectedly awsome news! They'll have my support! :)
updated graphic engine please
yess, this game is much better than final fantasy crap, can't w8!!!
Swear it was announced as a trilogy anyways
I'm among those still waiting for another Dark Cloud..:(
I know. I only played the second one but it was soooo much better than WKC. I like WKC but the first one was way too easy and the story felt strikingly similar to FF8. Like they are so similar they even have some of the same scenes.
It WASN'T cancelled? I'm surprised.
why would it be ? it's selling quite well and always had an healthy community . Most new jrpg ips dont even come close , and it even sell as much as some older ones
The first one sold well below their expectation. They announced a while ago that the 3rd game was canned and a PSP game was in the works instead, because they couldn't afford to keep the trilogy on the PS3. Look it up.
Besides some unfounded reports, none of what you said was confirmed by level 5 or sony .. Don't believe in rumours .. Dogma wars was pushed by sony to support the PSP
it didnt sell below some kind of expectation . Heck i'm pretty sure Level 5 learned their lesson with Rogue galaxy expected to be some huge final fantasy seller , and only doing ok . WKC1 sold over 800k . Wich is fine while not fantastic . What other new jrpg ip did close that on hd consoles anyway ? Only lost odyssey and demon souls . Million sellers jrpg arent that common once you step out of the usual suspects : final fantasy , dragon quest , and once upon a time star ocean . Compare it to existing and loved ips ? it's still doing ok . It outperforms Star Ocean 4 and vesperia , last i checked They didnt can some hypothetical 3rd game to begin with . WKC 1 and 2 , were to be a single game for the most part . They didn't have time to make it whole by the time WKC1 came out, so they released it incomplete , then a sequel . A lot of the promo material for wkc1 even features places and scenes that arent in the first game , but in wkc2 .
Sorry guys! But the translation was so OLD. It was extracted from an interview inside Famutsui prior to the release of WKCII in Japan. And the rather disappointing sales no.(lower than that of WKC) crushed the hope of a sequel already.......
3!?! Im still waiting for 2.. if they make a WKC3... they better release all regions at the SAME time.. cuz if they pull what they did again... with the 1 year after japan gets it or longer like WKC2 .. they can bite me.
Please give the series a rest
I wanna see sequels to Rogue Galaxy and Dark Cloud 2
and I want Ni no Kuni
