Gamer's Corner: Where is Playstation Move's AAA Title?

Gamer's Corner asks where Move's killer game is; "Sony needs to sit down with one of it's developers, Naughty Dog or somesuch and decide to take the risk with a revolutionary hardcore Move only game. Something completely different, not another 'safe' Sports Champions clone. Start with something like the Chameleon tech demo and see if it can build a rainforest, i mean that literally as well as metaphorically."

the same place where Kinect's AAA title is

in someones head!!!!

terrordactyl2648d ago

That's very true. It's disappointing that both MS and Sony haven't produced any real innovative software to match the hardware. Tacked on motion controls in an FPS doesn't cut it.

Fishy Fingers2648d ago

Tacked on peripherals so late in the game, general dont cut it either. Especially when it was clearly just in reaction to a competitor (Nintendo).

NukaCola2647d ago

I think the best potential for AAA success is SORCERY. Here is hoping for something special.

-Alpha2647d ago

Fishy said it best.

Late tacked on peripherals attempting to establish a piece of the motion craze pie.

Nintendo themselves are done with it and seem to be moving on to something different.

Move can't become the casual device Sony wants it to be, Kinect is far from the hardcore innovator MS promised core gamers it would be.

All hype, and all of it pretty much dead at this point. Only reason a majority went crazy was simply because of Console Wars

Well, Sony had the idea for Move LONG before the Wii..but I agree that the Wii's success made Sony follow through with the Move project.

Personally I think this article is nothing more but a whiner! As long as MOVE being used in games, mandatory or not, means that it has games! I use MOVE whenever I can because I feel more comfortable with it than DS3 especially for shooters. I play KZ3 and SOCOM 4 entirely with it and comes R3, I'll do the same. Can't wait for Sorcery as well

While there are "Move Games" many AAA titles are "Move Compatible."

It's like SONY knew that the Move would be Niche...

Yeah, but I'd still rather stick with controllers. Why pay so much money for a motion device that has all this other technology only for it to be implemented into a typical crosshair cursor with gimmicky movements like "Punching" to melee?

Shooters are the most obvious use for Motion controls but what's the point? These motion devices were hyped to do all kinds of things, yet the best implementation I've seen was in Tumble for Move and hacking projects for Kinect

There are no original games so far, and at the end of the day that's what I'm waiting for, especially considering the high expectations people had

'Why pay so much money for a motion device that has all this other technology only for it to be implemented into a typical crosshair cursor with gimmicky movements like "Punching" to melee?'.

It amuses me how some people say how throwing fireballs in Sorcery is going to be the shit, but that using Move for melee attacks is somehow gimmicky.

Sorry, but there's no difference.

Also, I really didn't pay 'so much money' for my Move kit. The wand is way cheaper than a DualShock3, and the nav controller is cheaper still. Furthermore, it's excellent kit.

Each to their own, but I'll never play Killzone 3 or SOCOM 4 with a pad again. I'd rather stick with Move.

MOVE was not made to bring out AAA games you peewee.
Its a hardware device. Something that can be used if supported on upcomming AAA and non AAA games.

For the record you dont need to have a AAA game to enjoy a game as much as a AAA gae. Witch good job now i could act like a fanboy say somert about how this headline seems like a anti sony statement and mention abut kinnect and the lack of 360 exclusives but i wont. oop's

See how easy it is god gaming not like it used to be.. Sit back enjoy your games stop trash talking.

"MOVE was not made to bring out AAA games you peewee. Its a hardware device. Something that can be used if supported on upcomming AAA and non AAA games."

That has to be one of the dumbest comments I've ever read on N4G. The first part contradicts the second part.

Not really Move only.....To get Move into households they need to release a move only game

Pacman3212648d ago

Very true. The game i have used the Move mainly for is Sports Champions. Killzone 3 was fun for a while with the Move but i ended up going back to the DS3.

Bell Boy2648d ago

Depends what household...mine was a motion control free zone until Move was shown to be able to play more mature hardcore titles

Chaostar2648d ago (Edited 2648d ago )

For me Killzone 3 is Move's AAA title.

I know what you're going to say, "but Killzone wasn't designed entirely for Move!". I understand where you're coming from with this argument but it didn't stop me from completing the entirety of Killzone 3 with Move and a Sharpshooter. I even got the Platinum trophy with Move, minus two co-op bronzes that you have to use a controller for split screen.

My point is that, for me, Killzone 3 WAS a Move game and so will any FPS be that is compatible in the future.

terrordactyl2648d ago

If you took Move controls away from KZ3 then it would be just as successful a game. Move needs a hardcore AAA dedicated title that shows the innovation found in the controller itself. Sony need to think outside of the box, it's useless having cutting edge hardware without the software.

Chaostar2648d ago

You're very right, Killzone 3 would have been just as awesome without Move. However, for me personally, I really enjoyed playing with Move, so I did for 99.9% of the game.

I would also like to see some original content designed specifically for Move. Just because, for me, Killzone was a Move game doesn't mean I don't want to see innovative and dedicated titles in the future. I'm particularly looking forward to Sorcery and my ultimate Move dream would be an Elder Scrolls style RPG designed specifically with Move in mind.

Bell Boy2648d ago

I am with you on this I actually resented the fact I was forced to use DS3 to get the Platinum..

Like you I only play Killzone 3 with Move...so it is a AAA Move game

Graey2647d ago

hey star.

I'm currently still playing the beginning stages of KZ3. What are you setting for the move. I have the gun add on so I'm looking for that sweet spot with turning as well as shooting.

Any advice welcomed :D

Chaostar2647d ago

TBH everyone I talk to has a different setup, which caters to individual preferences. I could tell you mine but it all comes down to the individual.

The best advice I can give is conduct a trial and error test of your own in botzone. Also I'd suggest never using the aim assist lock on thingy, just turn it completely off, it's much more satisfying and rewarding :)

Cajun Chicken2648d ago

Don't care. Tumble rocks, if not enough reason for a Move.

Knushwood Butt2647d ago

Yeah, Tumble is excellent, and it's also TEH MOVE EXCLUSIVE!!!!!!!

smoothdude2648d ago

They should make a bob-it game for move. That will get the hardcore crowd drooling! LMFAO.
