Brink makes use of the id Tech 4 graphical engine. Other notable games to make use of the engine include Doom 3 and Wolfenstein. Since the engine's release, it's been used in Prey and other id-related titles like Quake 4.
I couldn't give a Castlemaine XXXX about the game. But I thought the way the comparison was presented was very good.
Why compare anything PC to console? It is like always stating the obvious. I am a PC gamer. But comparisons between PC versions and console versions sound so much like "nah nah nah my PC is better teh you consolz" to me. We all know it's better on PC. These sites should stick to nit picking meaningless pixels between multiplat console games.
The 360 pics are so dark and the blacks just take away from all the detail. It's hides the jaggies a bit, but besides that, the PS3 looks very similar. Look on the next page, the 360 pic of the dude makes him look almost black, when he is a pasty white guy do to it's overuse of contrast.
The 360 wants everything to be darker...jk
The PC version launched with very few bugs and the online worked really well. But it got bunched in with the other versions and received a poor score. It's a fudging travesty
That's not what I heard. Someone got their money back on steam b/c of how buggy it was. http://n4g.com/news/765265/... Also a friend has it on PC and said it was garbage, but I'm sure they'll patch it and I'll prolly get it anyway.
Most PC gamers are used to a higher standard than this game and I for 1 can understand them feeling it was garbage.
I was going to get it on Steam, but Splash Damage have removed it from the UK Store with absolutely no response as of why
Same lighting in all tbh. 360 suffers from rez drop, looks blurry and dark.
