The Landscapes & Architecture of Gran Turismo 5

GTPlanet’s best virtual photographers turn their cameras away from the race track in GT5. (Gran Turismo 5, PS3)

now imagine if Polyphony was given the tools from lets say ND to make the drivers and star drivers even more realistic

probably would have cost too much to get lip syncing, and motion capture tech put in the game properly

theres always looking forward to GT6

The only 2 things I complain about in GT5:

1. They got rid of the world map
2. Very few events compared to GT4

GT4, you could play for 6 months straight and still not complete every single event on the world map. Then you still have all the special events from each car manufacturer's store.

And MANY more stuff to do.

very true...but the seasonal events keep the game fresh...the only thing i dont like is that the game doesnt progress properly, youll get to the F1 races, and the game expects you to have an f1 car in your garage, even tho it costs roughly 5 mil credits for a used one

But seasonal events are only available to those with internet connections.

There's a lot of money grinding and exp grinding, but it would have been okay if they had a lot more variety of events to keep the game fresh while you grind.

Instead, you are forced to grind on the same event over and over until you get enough exp or money.

Its a GREAT game, and they got the physics down so good that you can FEEL your car almost as if it was right in your hands.

But they made a few "rookie" mistakes that veterans like Polyphony should have never made.

I got a b-day car from GT5 today. Got the Sauber Mercedes. Now I have 2.

GT5 looks out of this world from some angles and disturbingly horrible from others...like for example head out to the Eiger Nordwand in a Premium car and it's jizz-inducingly good, however in a standard car on an old track and this game looks vomit-inducingly bad.

So while I enjoy GT5, still pick it up from time to time, the inconsistent graphics bug the hell out of me.

Ohh and another thing that bugged me was the lack of 'fan favourite cars' so to speak, hot cars that people wanna see in the game; Like Koenigsegg (at least 1 premium of that one as well), Road going Zonda's as premiums, At least one more Aston as premium, definetly more Bentley, they still don't have any Porche, Veyron as premium...and I mean I know they're Japanese but the relative amount of just poinless cars they have from Nissan, Toyota etc is just beyond me.
