Sony has a system selling quadruple-A, driving simulation that turns the volume up to eleven. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is that impressive. Remember when FiringSquad reviewed GT3 and said it was the most fun they've had in a long time? Gran Turismo 5 brings that level of excitement back to the series. Part of this excitement comes from the fact that Polyphony Digital includes three of the hottest cars on the planet in this demo, the BMW 135i, the Mitsubishi Evo X, and the new Nissan GT-R.

damm this game demo look and play great as hell..... now to wait for the game, damm feel like forever when you have to wait to get the game that you want lol.....
I've never bought a Prologue game before, but I dont think I can wait this time. Well see.
From what i looked at this game seems more complete and more effort it seems to use the Ps3 to the max which i like. This is a must buy and hopefully it shows developers what they can do with their games on the ps3 which will help us out who own ps3's.
the demo is simply amazing, every time i fire my ps3 up, stick the demo on i swear i find myself just smiling in ore at the screen as i am driving around Suzuka.
it's simply jaw dropping everything about it handling, graphics, racing physics - incredible !!
if i do have a slight niggle, i stress slight it's the sound of screeching tires, at this demo stage it just doesn't sound right
i do need to invest in a good racing wheel as altho it's good with a pad i expect the exerience to improve tenfold with a good racing wheel.
Since i have mapped the accelerate and brake to the outer triggers as the default buttons just doesn't feel right it certainly has added to the experience.
the thought of 16 player online racing on tracks like Daytona just fill me with joyous anticipation, i cannot wait for the Prologue version never mind the full retail version.
I love Sega Rally and the whole arcade racing experience but playing the GT5 demo just highlights you cannot beat the realistic racer and GT5 is shaping up to be the pinnacle of that genre
happy days !!!!! (i am smiling)
Anyone who sits down with gran turismo has to acknowledge that this games is amazing.

Another slap in the face. Anyone saying this game doesn't look as good as [insert any console racer available today here] is a fanboy or an idiot.

Strange, I must have played a different demo. Personaly, I'm a little bit disappointed (I'm busy playing Forza 2 so I have a good point of comparaison).
The good:
- 1080p
- 60 fps
- 16 cars
The bad:
- so dark picture
- intermittent bad framerate
- the car we are playing with is the most awful I have ever seen
- where's the internal view ?
- general lightning effects are no as good as in Forza 2 (on the cars)
Here you go:
- inside view isnt available on the "black mask" car on the DEMO, try a different car.
- the lighting is at least a billion times better than the real light that the actual sun gives off.
- the framerate is fine....
- turn up your brightness on your tv...
:)
I have to thank you for the advice concerning the internal view: it's really great. But I still disagree for the other points:
- "TV contrast": all the game I have on PS3 and XBox 360 don't need to turn up/down my contrast -> we must be honest, the default game picture is dark
- "Framerate issues": try again ... it's not a very big frame rate problem but for somebody like me (very strict other graphics details and animations) it's enough not to buy the game. But may be you are playing in 720p ?
