NintendoLife: Ubongo is a board game that's won its fair share of awards in continental Europe, and came to WiiWare via a not-so-great adaptation. Shrinking the game to the DSiWare platform doesn't do it any favours either, sadly, and comes with a host of new problems.
The iPad has no shortage of really, really good board game adaptations, and indeed at times board games are now being specifically designed for Apple's tablet without ever seeing a physical version.
With that in mind, a middling board game such as Ubongo has its work cut out for it when it comes time to bring it to the iPad.
Neocrisis: We had the pleasure of getting a interview with Nacho Fernández, the game's producer, about Ubongo.
GameSpot writes - "The 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo kicks off today in Los Angeles, but Nintendo doesn't appear to have any special plans for the week when it comes to store updates for WiiWare and DSiWare. This week, Nintendo welcomes a single new title to WiiWare, while DSiWare picks up three games."
