Call of Duty: Black Ops' newest map pack is simply brilliant. It is one of the best map packs that has been created for the series.

The maps do look pretty good. Love how they keep pushing Zombies in interesting ways.

My one complaint with COD maps is the lack of new trophies. Glad they did it this time, though I was hoping they'd add some for competitive multiplayer.

On the PS3 side of things, they better release the map pack without the framerate issues I heard the first maps had

Multiplayer Trophies are game breaking and unfair to those without Xbox live/PSN access. I curse the day that they add multiplayer trophies to call of duty.

If it's for DLC, it doesn't stop you from getting a platinum

So your saying its still about the same as paying $3 for a McDouble off the $1 menu?

Dont understand how a COD map pack can ever be 10/10, 5/5, 100/100, A+/A+.

Well if you haven't played this new map pack you can sit there and complain, or you can just pay up and enjoy Black Ops just like it's a whole new game!

The zombie mode alone is well worth the price, I bet I have close to 15 hours in on it. Just so much fun and so different from the other zombie maps as a whole.

Tryarch has done a excellent job of creating content to keep you excited and the game fresh. I doubt any other game could remain as popular and have as many people on it consistently.

People need to stop whining and just get back to gaming!

blacks ops as a whole is crap, story was boring, online is full of camping glitchers, zombies loses its flare after a few playthroughs, treyarch as whole ruined call of duty

erasure2424737d ago

And people like you are ruining gaming... Quit complaining about everything like a spoiled little rich kid...

I love zombies, It's just that the price of the map pack....

Hey if you enjoy being f*cked without a courtesy lick thats all you... I on the other hand find paying $105+ a year to play a half assed rehashed noob infested POS of a overrated game to be something i can not do and claim to be sane at the same time. I know many who stick by COD no matter what and they either bitch and moan about it 24/7 or arent good enough players to realize how bad the game is and how bad it f*cks you over.

And dont even bother trying to explain all the fun factors about it because outside of its large following it has nothing really going for it considering its the largest money making game around yet still is often out done by companies with far less resources. Maybe next time around they should focus on using that money to make a good quality game rather then a broken POS with over half its budget for advertising.

I agree execution17, after the first map pack in W@W i gave up on that bull cause of the constant zombie modes i never wanted, fun when you have nothin else to do or are drunk and cant play competitive but otherwise for noobs and kids. MW2 really let me down by over doing it with everything and Black Ops is just a worse version of MW2 with even more zombies. why dont they just make another whole game just for zombies so maybe COD can get back on track to being COD.

Exactly Vanderbeek!!! Loved you in Varsity Blues and the cameo in Jay and Slient Bob but could never bring my self to watch that tampon of a show Dawsons Creek...

and yet you seem to have bought every COD game even though you hated WAW.

The fact is, the game is a quick fix of fun that appeals to a lot of people. Its fine if its not your style and you rather maybe Crysis or Killzone, but the majority of people just don't.

And just out of curiosity, if you hate COD so much why do you keep playing every one and clicking on their articles? I cant stand MK, hence the reason i have ever bought another one since MK2, haven't played one since the awful MK4 and don't click on any MK articles cause i find the series is garbage. You should do the same. Stay away from things you cant stand.

for how much money they make on the acutal game these map packs should be free or 4.99.. 15 bucks for some maps is redunkolous.. and i aint poor i just know when i am being screwed.. simple math below..

not sure how much this game sold but rough low est..

10 mil copies for 60 bucks = 600,000,000.00

15 dollar map packs 2 mil = 30,000,000.00

wtf!!!!!!! break me off a 100k please.. lol

I love how every map has "lots of hiding places", sounds boring as f*** to me. i wanna shoot not get hassled by snipers 24/7

sleepy34737d ago

That's why i like forge. What i did in Halo 3 was remove every obstacle and just make a big empty room for multiplayer. It was big open square with weapons all over the place and nowhere to hide. i called it "the sauce" lol.

I'm actually surprised that shooters have yet to add a level editor seeing as Halo3 came out in 2007. The things forge are capable of creating are amazing.

Its not that bad. Just your worst nightmare if your playing Search and Destroy.

Black Ops 1 Nuketown versus Cold War Nuketown '84

From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.

Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
