I totally agree with you,.. Because it is the truth,.. Yes,.. there are different levels of that though, for what is ok or what is not ok to show in different countries and cultures,..
You can usually get away with titties in movies as long as it is only erotic in Europe(that includes Russia),..(there is age appropriate regulation everywhere,..for violence or sexuality)
But people are really fooling them selves that sexuality is somehow totally ok and violence isn't and this shit, regardless the culture,..I think there is something intimate and sacred in human sexuality,..even in the most remote tribes allover the world ,.. unless you are a part of nudist subculture or really your social inhibitors are totally off,..

Nudity arouses sexual interest, leads to sex, which may lead to children.
Now you Europeans or non-Americans may say that we need to be relaxed about sex and educate our children about condoms, but the damage has been done. We view sex a certain way, we don't tell children how to be responsible, and we end up with pregnant teenagers with parents who are firmly against abortion.
That's America. There are exceptions so I don't want any Americans to think I'm throwing a blanket over them.
I have no issue with violence. Europeans have historically been more violent than Americans, so they shouldn't talk about how they're disturbed by it.

I have not been every place in the world but have traveled alot. Europe is much more relaxed when it comes to nudity versus violence. Though not the same across the board... many places would say the opposite.

And it is usually the religious affiliates that cast the first stone at censorship of nudity. Damn puritans ruining everything for the rest of us. Of course they don't mind so much about violence as they still need to be able to throw their stones and burn their witches.
Public nudity within Japan was not seen as something offensive. Families and neighbors even bathed together with little thought of prudish coverings. Of course that was a male oriented society, but then after the war the church got a good foot hold into the country and started screaming at why their was nudity on TV and such. I recall even recently (ok 23 years ago) there was a Japanes daily television drama based around a family that owned a bathhouse. The family boy kept peeking in on the ladies and catching then nude. It was all shown on TV. But again, western influence changed all that even.
Graphic violence and sex are controlled for age-appropriate audiences in most countries. But the fact remains that you will see nudity (often full frontal) and simulated sex on standard TV in most European countries (after a certain time at night) but not in American, unless you are watching 'specialist' channels like HBO. But you are MUCH more likely to watch a violent TV show on US TV earlier in the evening than in Europe.
