Gaming’s Greatest: Badasses

Botchweed: "Back in the good ol’ eighties, action cinema centred around one common concept: The Badass. This was a guy who took no messin’ from jive-ass fools and rained pain on those who stood between him and his goal, while causing as many explosions, creative deaths and one-liners as possible (see: Commando, Cobra).

Video games are known to often take inspiration from movies, so join us as we draw up our picks of Gaming’s Greatest Badasses. They’ve punched, shot, stabbed and disembowled their way through what must be collectively millions of bad guys, and despite their murder-ific tendencies, we still love ‘em like they can do no wrong. Check out our picks of the biggest, baddest wolves in gaming, and find out why they huffed and puffed and blew our freakin’ heads off." (Condemned: Criminal Origins, Dead Rising, Duke Nukem Forever, Gears of War 2, Golden Axe, Mortal Kombat 9, PS3, Retro, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Xbox 360)
