OMG...my credit card has been stolen by Sony! - MiniGUP Ep. 22

GamingUnion.net has just released episode 22 of MiniGUP, one of their podcast series:

"The very face of MiniGUP has changed, and it now generates nothing but pure, undiluted awesome. Join in with the crew in this 22nd episode of MiniGUP as we celebrate Astharis taking the reins as host with her trusty number 2, Colin. Darryl and Brian troll the episode as well!

The group spends some time recapping the previous show and reading some of your comments and then they launch into two different discussions. First deals with Sony and the “problems” they've had over the last couple of weeks. After that, the MiniGUP posse goes into a discussion about the summer drought and whether or not there is one this year.

It all breaks down as they confess to their individual piles of shame. The new era of MiniGUP is here and it is not to be missed! MiniGUP is part of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Union podcast channel on Gaming Union/iTunes and releases an episode of MiniGUP every three...

This entire Sony event has been interesting to watch, that's for sure.

It's starting to get more boring by the hour though. I just want PSN back, so I can play my online games, which is way more interesting to me.

Yeah, the novelty has worn off with these same articles with different titles.

Sony has done irreversible damage to the PlayStation brand, much more than a cheap loyalty program will fix.

Honestly, worse thing than this has happened in the world of e-commerce. It wouldn't surprise me too much if it's forgotten more or less in year or so.

Mind you, if it happens again soon, may the force be with Sony....

JOLLY12730d ago

Will be forgotten in a year? Do you remember the LIVE outage of 2007? I bet you do. That wasn't even a full scale outage. and it was 4 years ago. (I think it was 2007)

Jolly1

What live outage are you talking about?

gaden_malak2730d ago

meh, Microsoft survived RROD. Sony will survive this.

They've (hopefully) learned their lesson and take security more seriously.

Hardedge2730d ago

My hate is directed at the douchebags that attacked Sony in the first place.

Cyber terrorism - “The premeditated use of disruptive activities, or the threat thereof, against computers and/or networks, with the intention to cause harm or further social, ideological, religious, political or similar objectives. Or to intimidate any person in furtherance of such objectives."

I just hope that people will stop freaking out over the credit card issue. Credit Card fraud is a natural part of any e-commerce system, and the CC companies are more prepared for it that most of us can imagine.

Not to mention, with fraud protection, you're not liable if your card is stolen.

@ JDouglasGU. It is very childish and fanboy like to say that. It is not irreversible damage. Many companies have done equally and worse then what Sony did and still have business and customers to this day.
