VG247: Rockstar told attendees at the Tribecca Film Festival that it took inspiration from movies like Chinatown and L.A. Confidential as well as fiction fromJames Cain and Raymond Chandler when creating L.A. Noire.
good, i love cinematic games, like uncharted 2 and god of war 3 for example and even red dead redmeption. and yes rockstar's statement is very good because i agree that games should stay as games because its something you are supposed to play
diss on mgs4 and cod lol
nothing wrong with that as long as it's a game first. rdr was a great story but a little too easy of a game
IT was easy, but did you have fun?
yea it it was fun gameplay-wise and i enjoyed the story but the challenge is what makes a game a game. i have fun swimming but that doesnt make it a game. without a challenge it's just an interactive movie
I can't afford this for while....stamps feet *sulks*
Cheers but I like to buy my games... Just bought mass effect 2 and dragon age 2 on sale(went a little bioware crazy). Should see me thru till I save up enough.
Both great games...you will have fun with those!
u can rent from gamefly keep it til you get the money then buy it from gamefly They will just send you the case
I wouldn't even really call it a "game." It's more like Interactive Cinematic Entertainment. If anything, Heavy Rain was a little too much like an interactive movie for my tastes. Still good though.
I think of LA Confidential everytime I see LA Noire. Lets hope its half as good as that movie. Guy Pierce was the sh*t.
Mgs4 was great. When people dislike it because of the lengthy cinematic cut scenes. Your stupid every scene so powerful even some times they were interactive. for some games they work for others no.
A cutscene doesn't make a game cinematic. Only thing that has come close to Interactive Cinematic Entertainment is Uncharted 2. I'll take set pieces and dynamic camera angles over cutscenes anyday.
I like both actually. Heavy Rain was brilliant! I'm sure L.A. Noire will be brilliant too.
I know it won't happen, but man I hope Agent is shown at E3
yeah so true sir mr tretton, i really hope we see it at e3. i think agent should be released in august 2012 and should be open world with multiple cities taking advantage of blu-ray, slighty like assassins creed in the fact it has multiple places but your also a sort of agent assassin
mr tretton your the man, i like every comment you make they are always smart not kidding
haha, thanks bro. Why I have only 2 bubbles all of the sudden is some BS!
Me too Rockstar. Thats why I didnt buy Heavy Rain and had negative comments about it. I got flamed and got called names LOL
Whatever they call it, Rockstar games are untouchable when it comes to quality. LA Noire will set the bar once again.
id like to see this new agent game rockstar is making. I heard it was in the works over 5 years or something like that. Its gotta be crazy if it was worked on that long.
