Motorstorm: Apocalypse Crashes Headlong into Game Reviewers’ Hearts

Kotaku: After pausing to pay its respects to victims of Japan's earthquake crisis, the latest Motorstorm races to store shelves today, but first it must navigate the assembled video game critics in the Motorstorm: Apocalypse Frankenreview. (MotorStorm: Apocalypse, PS3)

Didn't know this game came out, until one of the guys at are GameStop said something and hold up the case.

Wish I had the money, I spent the last of my money on Brink (Which isn't a bad thing), but I do plan on getting this game as soon as I have money and June isn't that month.

About four titles that cost $100 bucks (Collectors Ed).

"Those who had been looking forward to the game can rest assured that the extra wait to play it will be worth it. It’s a seriously fun and very over-the-top racer that should provide hours of entertainment."

And then they gave it a 6.

Is it any wonder reviews are becoming increasingly irrelevant?

I mean seriously, what kind of impression are you supposed to take away from a review whose score contradicts its words?

Actually that review quoted above is from a different website. Kotaku was simply compiling a few reviews together to show that this game got mixed reviews. From 6's to 10's.

I like going to sites like that compare reviews
like how most exclusive game reviews only focus on the negatives while crap games like Cod gets a pass ..
I forgot which site but they gave gt5 a 6 and said it was too bugy pre patched wereas they gave sims 3 for pc.. probably one of the buggiest game and still buggy after numerous updates a 9 and didnt mention bugs at all ...

I dont like to blame sites as a whole for that reason because they use different journalist and what not but atleast make some guidlines for reviews then I would consider taking a review seriously

The game is simply incredible, far above what I had originally anticipated. The cutscenes are cringe-worthy, but who plays a racing game for the cutscenes anyway lol. My jaw drops and I'm blown away every single time I jump into a new track. By far the funnest racer I've played in a very, very long time.

Why do no links to kotaku articles work for me? It always takes me to the home page.
