New Elder Scrolls V: Skryim details emerge, plus talk of next gen systems

While revealing new details about the game world within Skyrim, game director Todd Howard also talks about having a new system to push more polygons and how would allow for more characters on screen.

“We wouldn’t have to make as many choices between how many polygons or memory do we put into the environment versus the people,” Howard said. “The bigger cities still have walls that load you, so if we were on a next gen system that’s something we wouldn’t have to do.”

The story is too old to be commented.

with all of these creatures, mammoths, wolves, rabbits, elk... it would be really cool if they did some kind of ecosystem simulation thing. As in the dragon's would hunt the elk, and stuff, and sometimes while you were walking along you might see a random encounter of a group of hunters taking out a mammoth...etc

Edit: Thanks for replacing that "first" comment with something more constructive. Good day to you too.

I hope since they are talking up "next gen" systems that they will include those things on the PC version for us that have, for all intents and purposes, a "next gen" gaming platform.

Agreed. To me, it looks like it will be another watered down console port though

Isn't this taken from an interview that was posted yesterday?

I hope we don't have to wait another five years for the nexr TES.

2 disagrees. would could be wrong with it being on another console, broadening the audience? dumbass fanboy fucks

Although I don't currently plan on getting the Wii 2, I agree with admiral on that.... why not put it on the Wii 2?

Trying to put it on the Wii would be a joke, but the Wii 2 looks like it will have the power to cope with it!

I agree, putting Skyrim on Wii 2 would definitely expand its audience as well as showing game dev's that good non-nintendo games can be made for Wii 2.

Am hoping to include Battlefield 3, GTA 5, Batman AC, Assasins Creed, Bioshock Inf as well as Skyrim to Wii 2's line up list.
