PSN and SOE Attacks an Inside Job?

Psx-scene writes:

Just days before PSN was "hacked," Sony fired over 200 employees in their online division.

In Sony massive corporation style thinking, once March 31th, 2011 rolls around they decide to get rid of any "dead-weight", in this case, employees they think are "useless" or no longer needed so they can close off the "year-end books" with various "claimed losts" to save corporation taxes, just like any big massive corporation thinks, only for themselves and their "bottom line", not for the little human beings slaving away everyday for their profits.

The jailbreak is a leack from the Sony HQ

Blaze9292636d ago (Edited 2636d ago )

I wouldn't be surprised. Didn't the very first jailbreak that caused all this come from a source withing Sony itself?

I don't doubt for a second these recent attacks had some inside help

...could be Ken Kutaragi for making him retire from former Chairman and chief executive officer of Sony Computer Entertainment to a now guest professor of Ritsumeikan University...da da dummmmmm

Ken Kutaragi, 56, stepped down as Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s chairman and group chief executive, the gaming unit said Tuesday. The unit is now headed by Kazuo Hirai, SCE's former president and chief operating officer.

Kutaragi had already been relieved of day-to-day responsibilities as president last year but stayed on as its chief executive and chairman.

Though no longer a board member, Kutaragi will hold an advisory post at the gaming unit, according to SCE official Sayoka Henmi. "

that'd be pretty funny though

I'm sure there are people working with Sony that are with a hacking group or anonymous. There are always "inside" people at every workplace, even at game studios like blizzard I am sure people there sell certain information to others.

@ Andrew Ryan...

I was such an "inside" person when I used to work at McDonalds...I used to go into the fridge and eat the pickles, yogurts, and berries in an attempt to bankrupt McDonalds...he he he...

ilikestuff2636d ago

could be a former sony employee or a current one thats jagged bout the fireings, either way find the turd machine and ship him to jail

Omegasyde2636d ago

I would bet a cheese sandwich on it.

They said in a press release they were moving the servers from thier location in San Diego, CA USA.

Alot of S.O.E. employees who got axed were from that same building (its a big building too, as big as 2 superwalmarts.)

As they move the servers it seems more pinkslips with be passed out. Thus the hackers not only fcuking with peoples personal information but jobs too.

Hackers suck.period.

TeaDouble_E2636d ago (Edited 2636d ago )

lol somehow I imagine you saying that in a sarcasm way.

HolyOrangeCows2635d ago

Psx-scene is just looking for an excuse to bring up month old firings and claim that Sony was "getting rid of dead wood" like 'TEH EV1L COMPENNY!' that they are.

Sony said it wasn't anonymous though...

Anonymous had nothing to do with the attack.

Pandamobile2636d ago
