“We are selling PlayStations In 30-35 cities in India” – Atindriya Bose, Country Manager, Sony

Techcircle: Sony Computer Entertainment has had a busy quarter to say the least, with its manufacturing operations being affected by natural disasters in Japan to the most recent security breach in its PlayStation network. TechCircle.in caught up with Atindriya Bose, Country Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment, on the sidelines of the launch of a new PS2 game called Cart Kings. Bose spoke to us about the breach, sales of PS2 and PS3 consoles and the PlayStation Portable (PSP), as well as Sony’s expansion plans in India.

21k indian rupees is what PS3 costs in india.
2.5k is the price of a single PS3 game.

gaming on PS3 is only for the rich ones. but the PS2 and PSP are around 5~6K which is what majority of people are buying from the PS brand. the games range from 500 rupees to 1,000.

that's A LOT of money for money-conscious indians.

Seems PS3 is still expensive. People are itching for it to replace there PS3's which is good for the future.
