Meijer Online to exclusively support Blu-ray

A recent internal review at retailer Meijer has shown that Blu-ray titles have been outselling HD DVD titles by a 4-to-1 margin.

This was apparently enough of a reason for company to announce that they would no longer be selling HD DVD titles in their online store. Furthermore, Meijer will also be expanding their Blu-ray online catalog to 300 titles (almost the full Blu-ray catalog)

This does not mean that they may add HD DVD titles back into stock, but right now, consumer spending shows that HD DVD is simply not in high enough demand for the time being.

Meijer is a retail chain similar to that of Target and Wal-Mart in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. Their online store can be accessed by going to meijer.com.
