With the advent of XBLA, XNA, PSN, and copious modding systems, the avenues through which games can be made seem to be reaching a veritable apex. For aspiring programmers, designers, and creators, this is an amazing time to cultivate your gaming dreams and forge them into a virtual reality. But with so much information at our fingertips, how does one begin the process of actually making a game?
As someone who has gone through this process before, I can certainly attest to the value of insight from industry professionals; from people who have asked and answered the question of “Where do I start” many times before.
