So far the numbers of all 3 look good. Although i did hear Sony broke 5million a while go but i may be wrong. The next 2 months are going to make a huge difference in sales. I personally can't wait to see what Xmas brings. I am very surprised the 360 hasn't broke 12million yet. Seems like they have been around 11 for a while now. Then again this is VGchartz. May not be right but if gives a good idea of where they stand.
these are VGCHARTS numbers. look at their EU sales charts ...especially the ones for SPAIN ,FRANCE and GERMANY. They have massively downgraded ps3 sales and upgraded x360 sales. x360 couldnt even sell 120k in SPAIN. It sold just 400 k in FRANCE and around 120k in GERMANY. ps3 is around 6m worldwide vs 11m for x360 @Blazing BOT aka POG aka Elitegamer I did say " VGCHARTS numbers are inaccurate . the original ps3 :x360 ratio could be 5:1 /10:1 last week in EU" I said that. when GFK releases the numbers you would see x360 non existent in all parts of EU except clinically alive in UK
Nasim you posted VGcharts numbers yesterday when it was positive for sony talking about how the ps3 outsold the 360 and wii in EU. first of all this is my only account on n4g. i dont have a need to make more than one. unlike you i know about your second account. but the fact it you post the news when its in your interest and down it when its not.
didn't i flush you down the toilet yesterday? my, my, your one stubborn turd
I posted this news yesterday twice. Playstation 3 fanboys kept reporting it as fake, spam or dupicate story and just getting it knocked off. PS3 fanboys are so zealous and hate news reported that they don't like. http://www.n4g.com/NewsPend... http://www.n4g.com/NewsPend...
Yeah, we know that you hate PS3 fanboys, cuz you're just 360 fanboy, period! You're nothing more than a hater, that's all Update: Damn Segamer, you say you're not a fanboy or a hater, but listen to yourself. And i own a 360 and have since Nov. 22nd 2005 (check my gamertag)
I just don't like how zealous PS3 fanboys are. I enjoy the Playstation family. I just see the Playstation 3 for what it is and not what it isn't nor do I see it for what it doesn't have or what it might become.
@ nasim At first a thought that you were having fun all the time, but know i can see that you really have a problem, kid you need to go out more, maybe find yourself a girl. GET A LIFE... you really are strange. Some people get this [email protected] to seriously.
This freakin site is more and more of a joke everyday. Fragile little egos always trying to assert themselves as a "superior" human being because I chose brand X and it is superior....[insert multiple paragraphs, links, and twisted facts to thus prove (in their world) they are the superior human being]. I actually pitty those that define themselves by the material objects that they acquire. Cheerlead or politic all you want...none of it matters for spit on this site other than to generate traffic. Not a single one of these corporations are going to show up on your doorstep with praise and/or gifts for your efforts...waste of time. Put simply....SHUT UP AND PLAY.
sorry this already failed approval.. stop trying to get it in. http://n4g.com/NewsPendingC...
it didnt fail approvel cos its spam or most sh!t u get on here, it failed cos off the link, now its fixed it should get approved
well i tried the link and it doesnt work, so uh. i dunno
isn't this the 3rd post of console numbers for that week? Haven't there also been around 10 failed approvals for that week of console sales as well? Can we wait till NPD numbers come? Along with stopping all posts about that weeks sales? I think we've covered them.
What about PS2's weekly sales?
Kind of loses a lot of relevance when it doesn't even include a console that still sells hundreds of thousands of consoles.
the PS2 SHOULD have been included... but the fact that it was not does not automatically make this analysis "irrelevant". Especially if this analysis seems to be considering JUST net-gen consoles. I, to be honest, agree with VG's decision because PS2 is no longer a significant factor in determining Sony's financial future (in the long run that is). That is, while the PS2 sales continue to gradually stagnate/decrease, the PS3 is expected to rise. Hence, it sort of make sense that this analysis focus solely on NET-GEN console. In essence, their concentrating on the future. Edit: Okay, but how long do you expect the PS2 to remain on the market? To be honest, it sales have already peaked, and are now just slowly (but surely) declining until Sony announces that they are dropping support for the system and focusing solely on the PS3. Just think, how much revenue is Sony amassing from the PS2 alone NOW? Can it survive just based on the PS2's continued success? The answer is no, which is why this analysis- by focusing just on the PS3 (and, hence, Sony's future)- IS relevant.
I would agree with you except in my personal experience when I buy something, it usually means I am at the same time not buying something else that compares. I'm pretty sure that goes for almost all consumers (at least the ones that don't have too much money in their hands). All are game consoles, and when someone buys a PS2 they are not buying another console so it can easily be considered direct competition. That is the monster that Sony has made, and it should be given it's props. I just can't take this seriously when it leaves out such a huge factor, so in my opinion, it is irrelevant.
I'm not too sure about those numbers. Is it just me, or has the 360 been between 10 and 12 million for the whole year? I'm pretty sure halo alone should of brought the numbers above 12million, but who knows.
So according to this BS site, the PS3 has just got 5M units sold WW? AHAHAHHA Man, it was officially reported they broke 5.5M sold back at E3, so now they should be at more than 6M. Why do ppl stil believe the numbers this site thorws around?!
you have the proof of those numbers? because there have been a few different stories on this site about the ps3 just passing 5 mil. of course you wouldn't make stuff up because you don't like the alternatives. i swear to god these charts are just designed to give the hardcore fanboys heart attacks and provide entertainment in the bickering for the rest.
actually, sony had announced during the e3 conference that they fell just short of their 6 million target and reached 5.5 million ps3's sold at the end of March 2007. go check the e3 announcements from each company
are we sure that's not shipped, because i swear i saw a new story on N4G a couple days back about sony going over 5 million worldwide. who knows. i don't know what to believe anymore with all these damn charts. if i am wrong, then i apologize to dez.
it might have been that they had shipped 5.5 million units thru march 2007 (both companies seem to use the "shipped" numbers when saying how many they have "sold")
Sony stated at E3 they had SHIPPED around 5.5 million ps3 by march 31, and they stated at TGS they had SOLD almost 6 million ps3s...
I think these numbers look pretty well for everyone;) Everyones selling over 100k units and we haven't even gotten to November/December:)
This is good for the gaming industry.
i'm interested to see what the numbers will look like thru christmas for the 360 and ps3...with the ps3 introducing a $400 sku, and the 360 getting 2 games bundled with all their sku's starting next week, it should move alot of consoles for both. from the beginning of this year up to about july, sales were completely stagnant for both consoles. if i remember correctly, the 360 had sold 10 million at the beginning of the year, and the ps3 was up to 5.5 million during their E3 show. now we can see how these companies do with both guns blazing going into the holidays
Sony will always be below nintendo just like sega.
PS3 just hit 5 mil? Man sony said they SOLD that many like two months ago.
for the person that said that they hate sony fanboys and all that BS I don't know why they would try to knock off this news. this is actually good for the ps3. they are geting beaten by the 360 but by only a small portion. the ps3 is selling a lil bit less than the 360 in the same time frame. maybe it has gotten outsold recently but the ps3 is still in the game. actually, ps3 fanboys defend their system and and can get immature at times, while 360 fanboys talk BS all the time instead of playing their games, wii fanboys are okay, but if u insult their system they turn into 5 year olds.
the ps3 is actually selling more than the 360 did in this time frame.
yessss kevin.. you are correct... read it and weep http://vgchartz.com/weekly....
I'm still in 3rd place =) I really hope my new sku comes out so that it will really show that I really do belong in 3rd place. For 399, stupid customers will by my retarded form. =)
PS3 has only sold 5 mln. indeed. Not at E3 this year. @ Kevin wrong Because... Is the PS3 almost on 6 million in one year? Nope, they're just on 5. Sony ofcourse put out positive numbers, but they're not true.
oh this is a juicy little bit of information for y'all. So according to vg charts. http://vgchartz.com/weekly.... For the week ending Oct 15th , in 2006, the 360 had a worldwide total of 4,880,000. So according to the same website, the ps3 has sold around 200,000 more consoles than the 360 did (in a similar time frime)... and the ps3 has actual competition and no games.. you fanboys are funny.
Poor PS3, Dreamcast 2 confirmed. (Good for 360 and Wii!)
bwahahaha.. numbers don't lie http://vgchartz.com/weekly....
VGchartz is just a trend analyzer. Can anyone cite where they get their sources? Just because its the only choice doesnt make it the right one.
Is starting to hold its own here, 360 outsold the ps3, but with Halo 3 in its corner, these are really close numbers. Could be some changes in the air, is Sony can hold these numbers.
the DS is doing redonkulious!
