vGamers writes: Due to the PSN network being unavailable; nearly a week offline. I decided to check out all my old PS3 singleplayer games and construct a list of what I think is the best games to play while the downtime continues.
Damit i`ve already got all those games, guess i still need to complete new veags though. Why isnt demons souls on that list, thats probably the best and the cheapest.
i'll add it in good choice :)
White knight chronicles rachat and clank: tools of destruction God of war 3 folklore metal gear solid 4 little big planet 2 marvel vs capcom 3 portal 2 dragon age 2 sly cooper collection final fantasy 13 Those should hold you over for a bit no?
I'm on my way to Gamestop gonna buy Fallout: New Vegas only $20!!
Go and buy Yakuza 3! One of the best stories this generation!
The original Rainbow six Vegas is $19.99 too, and the campaign is really good.
3D Dot Game Heroes Metal Gear Solid 4 Gran Turismo 5 The Fight Lights Out
Awesome game but the psn is needed, its fun invadin some poor mofos game and killin em dead, and if the game gets too hard, call in some help, wont be able to do that if the psn is down
nah i just watch ufc on spike and imagine the guy getting knocked down is the hackers who ruined my week.
Yakuza 3 should really be on that list.
And Yakuza 4. Dunno why people are missing out on two great PS3 exclusives.
Been playing that for the last 3 weeks. Didn't miss online gaming at all. Damn addictive.
Yeah I loved fishing in Yakuza 3, I thought screw the orphanage it's time for NA NA NA NA FISHING FISHING FISHING (lol). The orphanage part was good but after the second playthrough, those parts got boring. I put over 100 hours (currently on my 4th playthrough) in Yakuza 3 including Ultimate Skill.
with all of my hearts no lying lol. these two gems are just two reasons why ps3 dominates in single player games on consoles.
MGS4, resistance 1 - 2, demons souls, mlb the show,
You should really consider adding the GTA: Complete Collection to that list, it has a massive amount of missions and is actually pretty fun to play and get through all, and once you have, you can try to match up what parts of the storyline are where, and find eastereggs, and kill Niko :P
Dragon Age Origins Uncharted 2 Final Fantasy XII RE5 Gold edition Fallout 3 GOTY, New Vegas Demon Souls MGS4 God Of War 3 Heavy Rain GTAIV RDR You will get great single player value from all these games and they shouldn't be expensive now.
I've been playing Borderlands and Red dead redemption a lot over this last week or so. Those are 2 of my many games which I haven't played much of. I still have many more to finish. Out of my 86 PS3 blu-ray games I have at least half which I haven't finished yet. I have had to start a lot of games again, as I got YLOD and didn't save my saves. I don't mind though as it gives me a great excuse to play them again.
Lol, I remember back to the times I had a memory card for my PS3, My friend accidentally deleted all my saves on it and was furious, but surprisingly replaying all my games actually brang back fun memory's and I enjoyed them even more the second time around.
While playing some games for the second time I have come across things I have missed during the first play through. I take more time and go for some easy trophies that I've missed. Some games can be more fun the second time playing.
I just bought Assassins Creed II, Uncharted 1 and Bioshock 1
Waiting for Bioshock to come through the post. In the meantime i'm getting the offline trophies for Portal 2 and leaving GT5 Bspec on when i'm not.
I like multiplayer but my favorite games are mostly all single Metal Gear Soild Series God of War Series Twisted metal 1, 2 and Black Shadow of the Colossus Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy series Half-Life 2 Command and Conquer Series Knights of The Old Republic Mass Effect 1,2 Secret of Mana Demon's Souls etc etc
Just play Oblivion. It'll be E3 before you know it.
Yakuza 3 and 4 trinity souls of zill oll 3d dot game heroes demon souls n sly cooper single players that are awesome and on that list they should replace Fallout with elder scrolls
Disgaea 4 if you know Japanese, will take you countless months of devotion to ever complete the game. LV9999!? U fukinkiddinme.
Valkyria Chronicles a title that almost everyone over looks
I think everyone hates Sega just because of Sonic and marketing, I haven't tried VC but Yakuza is a awesome series from the producer of Super Monkey Ball and the director from Jet Set Radio.
Sega fails at Sonic as of lately but it's other titles are pretty damn good
This is a great time for those who haven't played the game already, to get Heavenly Sword. It's short, but damn sweet.
The 2 games that squashed the Xbox 360 for me: infamous & uncharted 2: I had so much fun with them that I hit platinum on both. Another awesome game is mafia 2. Resistance 1 & 2 are good campaigns, didn't care for the multiplayer. Killzone 2 and 3 were awesome. The first 4 days of the psn crash I got all the campaign trophies in crysis 2. So i didnt miss a thing, my cod friends were all griping but i was enjoying crysis 2...good game, way better than the demo. Played some marvel vs capcom 3 too.
didnt see anyone mention FFXIII, for a good jrpg alternative be sure to pick up Lost Odyssey, probably the best jrpg this generation.
GOD OF WAR 3 Resistance 1-2 MGS4 Uncharted 1-2
ah perfect... this is what I'm gonna do while PSN is down...
Excellent games to play while psn is down. Don't forget about LBP 2.
All great suggestions. In the middle of a UC2 playthrough myself. - Sly Collection - God of War III - Valkyria Chronicles (No, I will never stop pushing this on you) - Blazblue (yes, there's online but the story mode in both games is very lengthy if you actually watch all the scenes. Get Calamity Trigger if you want any chance of following it though. Even then it's still kinda confusing but very entertaining) - Yakuza - Bayonetta (they cleaned up the PS3 version, right? I was playing on 360) ... I was about to say Demon's Souls but that only feels like singleplayer, doesn't it? *sigh*
"- Valkyria Chronicles (No, I will never stop pushing this on you)" An you shouldn't its a great game people overlook. also if your on a LAN with a few good buddies pickup Warhawk. You will completely forget PSN is down.
Elder Scrolls 4.
apart from New Vegas that is. But Fallout 3 was enough. I was thinking of getting A Crack In Time to tide me over.
I was thinking of buying Singularity,do any of you think it has a decent single player campaign ?
Anyone who already played Fallout games, you should try Elder Scrolls IV (Game of the Year edition). It should be cheaper than fallout since its older.
I tried playing Fallout 3 and it wasn't my type of game and this dingbat at Game Stop tried telling me it was like Borderlands..
I just picked up Darksiders and have been cracking out on it plus the sleeper that everyones forgotten about, Dark Sector.
alright my list 1.qwop 3.scott pilgrim vs the world 4.unchared 2 5.god of war 6.rock band 3 pro fender squier guitar 7.little big planet 8.mortal kombat 9.jeriko 10.kungfu live 11.infamous
I bought Medal of Honor!
Ugh, but I have no MONEEEEY. I ran through uncharted 2 and MGS4 in one day. I tried to go through AC2 but I got to the part I hated and lost interest.
