Role playing games have always been feast or famine throughout their history of existence. While we have had some phenomenal entries into the genre, there have been some utter and absolute abominations that bastardized everything we love about RPGs. This article is about the latter.

No white knight chronicles?

WKC is a pain at some parts, but I actually enjoyed it. Then again I rented Lagoon numerous times and bought Quest 64 as well...

I just found the whole experience bland, sterile and boring but I know that N4G (and only N4G) loves it.

Lagoon for the SNES was a terrific game! Not sure how it's held up over the years though. The game's mention brings back good memories. Thanks.

i enjoyed WKC .

having played enchanted arms , i have to say that this game is flawed on many points ..

enchatnted arms was an average snack that people bought becausethere was nothing else at the time of release .

Neptunia is an average game that people can enjoy if you know teh subject ( other beware )

but putting xenosaga in this list ... what did the writter smoke ? Also the story is solved at the end of xeno 3 .. if the writter didn't understand that then he didn't play the game at all .

i mean there are way worse Jrpg than xenosaga. ( last rebellion ? )

LOL i played most of the games and loved them. I didn't play Two Worlds.

I've only played two worlds 2, and it was atrocious. One day I'm gonna rip into that game with a review, but sufficient it to say I agree with the sentiment of the article.

It probably wouldn't be fair, but Valhalla Knights should be on there - especially the terrible Wii game - Eldar Saga. And what about Venetica?

I guess you had to choose only 5.

I agree the Wii one was a rather fast detour from what I was accustomed to from the PSP titles. I even had it pre-ordered (still have it now thinking about finishing it at some point), but I felt at least with VK (PSP) it was in a way "playable" whereas the Wii one just...doesn't feel the same to me. Then again I never played the second so I'm just going off the first.

I'm on the fence about Xenosaga I actually enjoyed some parts but the others I did not made me cringe. So it was fairly okay to me. Now Two Worlds 2 on the other hand I sort've felt a "meh" from that one, the single player primarily and a bit from multiplayer it was okay but I don't know just didn't capture me...
