More remakes coming to 3DS

In a recent interview, Nintendo's main man Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that more classic remakes will be coming to the 3DS, and named the game he would most like to see on the new handheld. Hint: It's an awesome choice.

Wow very cool I wonder what it is.

NYC_Gamer2428d ago (Edited 2428d ago )

enough of the remakes already bring out some original titles

Shok2428d ago

Um, there are original titles. They CAN have both, you know. Original and remake titles. Don't know why people feel that all because they see a lot of one thing, that's all that system has.

Baka-akaB2428d ago

every console does remake every generation , so i dont see the big fuss neither .

If there arent enough original games , then you wait

Lyr1c2428d ago

@ above.

The point is, even though every console has it's "remakes", the 3DS is the only one to release with a large majority of it's line-up being just that.

I'm not bashing the 3DS, or saying that Nintendo has no games, but let's be honest. Without these remakes...What does the 3DS really have?

Knushwood Butt2428d ago

Nintendo should remake Steel Diver because it sucks.

Baka-akaB2428d ago (Edited 2428d ago )

@Lyr1c

I'm not really that sure it's true ...
and hell even then , most consoles first months' lineup usually sucks ... if not always .

crap vs proven games remade at launch ? i think i know wich i'd prefer and could live with for a few months .

I wish there was WCW/NWO revenge on the ds. However due to licence that won't happen (even though WWE own the WCW franchise).

Venox20082428d ago

Please,

Conker 3DS
Donkey Kong 64

at least those and I'm happy :)

pneboy2428d ago

surprise surprise nintendo is milking and remaking the same franchises

FredEffinChopin2427d ago

Most don't do it to the extent Nintendo does, with the possible exception of Square Enix. I defy you to name another franchise that has been beaten to death like Mario. And for as long. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they should let any of their key franchises die, they are always good games, but it seems like they've become too reliant on nothing but that. Man cannot game on Zelda alone.

VampiricDragon_2427d ago (Edited 2427d ago )

^ what the hell are you talking about? capcom does it, rockstar does it (thyve ported all there games like a million times), EA does it everyone does it, everyone does it

And mario hasnt been beaten to death. They are consitently the highest rated games of the gen.

FredEffinChopin2427d ago

"And mario hasnt been beaten to death. They are consitently the highest rated games of the gen"

Being beaten to death has nothing to do with being good. I already said they are always good games, calm your fucking nerve. The fact that you can even make that comment means that he's seen the light of day several times this console gen. That doesn't necessarily constitute "beaten to death" on its own, not with the likes of Assassin's Creed and Guitar Hero out there. When you throw in all the spinoff titles though, and start to realize that Mario has starred in like a dozen games this console gen, the meaning of my statement may become clearer. I know more than a few people who own Wii and passed on the last Mario Galaxy because they're just sick of it. It doesn't matter how good the games are, you can only play so many in a period of time. It's why I stopped playing COD, not because I hated it, but because I've done it enough to last me some years. And that series doesn't even feature the same protagonist. I'd imagine there are people who want to spit on the TV every time Mario shows up on it.

Yes, every strong franchise gets milked to an extent, but Mario is head and shoulders above the vast majority in that department.

Baka-akaB2428d ago

surprise surprise , a remake of the generic "nintendo milks" comments

Rhezin2428d ago

dude..who the hell isn't these days. Where have you been?

eagle212428d ago

They (fanboys) are pissed because Nintendo's remakes actually sell multiple and multiple millions while the competition's first party remakes hardly get any attention and maybe do 500K to 800K...lol. They are too blind to see all the original titles and I could care less if they ever see them...lol.
