Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi spoke about the next Gran Turismo title in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu.
Also vision gt and gthd is the same thing. lol
Not quite up to par with forza 2 but not bad, expecially for such a weak console.
So this has to compete with Forza 2? hahahaaaaaaa
Err no dude, GT5 Is going to compete against Forza 2.
This ain't even the next gen GT and it beats Fozra 2, now what you gonna say about that 360 sucka!
When is GT5 coming out? Spring 2008? When Forza 3 arrives and crushes it? For now: GT4 HD smugged up is competing with Forza 2
Er no, dude. Forza 1 would destroy GT5, so Forza 2 will obliterate GT5!!
Vision:GT (who's year-old gameplay video looks more impressive than Forza 2's CG trailer) is the real successor.
Year-old GAMEPLAY video, from the PS3? Dude that was PURE video LOL! It’s alright to dig the PS3, but "don't believe the hype"! Out of the 3 companies, Sony is the only one that showed a bunch of phony videos. Remember that when you're in line buying a BS3. But, to each his own...
Keep telling yourself that.
Yep, We will keep telling ourselves the truth.
It must be because xboxers have no good racing sims. How can ANyone who knowns anything about cars say Forza was that good? I played it and it is an ARCADE RACER compared to GT4. Yes they had more options and stuff, great thats wonderful i guess people that want more options should buy forza, but people who want to truely test their real life driving skills need the GT SERIES end of story.
Yes the improved GT4 is better than Fozra 2 end of story!
Ofcourse, like crashing into a wall with 200 km p/u is in GT and having no scratch at all? Damn now that's arcade!
Should be Sweet we will see how is laughing then!
i don't know what some of you are talking about. forza was more of a sim than gt was. its mentioned in so many reviews. "Forza is a force to be reckoned with, out-maneuvering GT4 in several respects, and beating out everything else in the sim department on Xbox, straight out." - IGN "The cars themselves handle like the way they're supposed to because the Forza team built a sim on top of a physics engine crunching more numbers and formulas than any console racer to date." - 1up so... i don't know where the whole forza is "to0 arc4dey" deal came from.
People are truly blind who thinks GT is even near to Forza. Yes, GT was the prime example of the best racing simulator FOR IT'S TIME. But then, a competitor came out, beat GT in every single aspect, and dominated the podium hands down. Don't worry, this is a common occurence in the buisness industry. A company dominates, then a competitor strikes from nowhere and steals the crown by being better, it's a continual struggle, dog eat dog world. Sony kicked Ninty's @ss to dominate and now Microsoft and Ninty will rule again by being better. This is normal. You know, Sony might even rule again some time, but this isn't the time. Once they start getting their act together again, we may see the former king return, but i wouldn't count on it one bit...
Oh, so it's not that GT:HD was a laughably unimpressive demo that was one of the crowning problems with Sony's e3 showing, it's that GT:HD is not the true successor in the series. Oooohhh, I get it now. Heh. GT just lacks innovation. Damage modeling has NEVER made it to the game. The cars all still handle terribly stock and almost always HAVE to be modified to be drivable and feel like their real-world couterparts despite this game climing to be a "sim". 2d backdrops and sprites are still used to trick the player into thinking the graphics are better than they are (Especially in Photo mode... it takes 2 seconds to realize the backdrop is one ridiculously flat photo). You STILL can't update a car's handling on the track, necessitating reloading test tracks over and over (full live tune-ups in Forza). The enemy AI still drives on a rail with no intelligence whatsoever, and that's been one of the biggest complaints wince GT1. Forza's first iteration introduced damage, full 3d grapics everywhere, decals/paint, smart-er baddies, great stock handling on most cars, live tune-ups, and difficulty/aid options for people new to sims who might want a more arcadey feel at first (complete with monetary awards for moving up and turning them off). And the problem with GT:HD was, again, lack of innovation. It was just GT4 runing in 1080p. That takes what, a day of programming? GT4 even already had an progressive/HD option, if I remember correctly. Change (720?) to 1080 in the system, and you're done. I do love GT, but Polyphony really needs to pick it up or else Forza is going to become the new industry standard in a hurry.
The rival cars just choose not to compromise their position in the race strictly for revenge. They have screwed me over countless times though, and once you put them on the top difficulty level their racing lines are absolutely perfect. I've been smacked into rails, pit-maneuvered, shoved into corners, etc. The AI definitely gets pissed if you f*ck around with them. "The cars all still handle terribly stock and almost always HAVE to be modified to be drivable and feel like their real-world couterparts" Maybe you just suck at driving? Even my friend Ezzy tried out his 05 Accord in the game and it handled just like his car. The GT series is reknowned for being the most accurate driving simulator. They haven't put crashes in for two reasons: a lot of manufacturers don't want people to know what their cars look like after colliding with a center divider, and the director won't put it in unless its perfect. At the last TGS, he referred in an interview about Vision: GT and the need to model every aspect of every car. Why? The cars should be able to flip over, have the glass and headlights/rear lights shatter, expose the engine in case the hood comes off, etc. He wants full, realistic damage. But there's a problem with having realistic damage and that's if you mess up and actually do slam into a wall in a GT game, you'll have to drive the rest of the race with a damaged car. And what if your engine is smoking and you're missing a tire? Do you still keep driving? o_o They could probably teleport in a fresh, new car every time you take a certain amount of damage, but then that wouldn't be very realistic. It's an actual problem that he brought up, so we'll see if there's some sort of balance that the team can do.
if you damage the car beyond drivability, you lose, game over.
"11 - Just wait for GT 5 Vision! 360Borrowedtime - 15 Hours ago Should be Sweet we will see how is laughing then! " So when will that be? Spring 2008 first 1.5 year to put up with a retarded GT4 HD smugged up PS2 version without collision damage? That's dull. It will bite Forza 2's dust. Even better, spring 2008 GT5 has to compete with Forza 3. Forza 2 already is a generation leap in front of GT4 HD, imagine what Forza 3 will be... GT is behind, far behind
You are such a idiot Mart, you see thing from one point of view, which is you pathetic losers opinion of youself, let me ask you what are you gonna say when the PS3 shows it's dominance over all the other consoles, you will be crying like a little B*tch i bet. Sony ownes MS, they will show that this november and get over this crap about FOZRA 2, the first one stank out the house it was so arcade looking like PGR, both not very good games, GT is the only real racer out there, get tthat into your thick MS fanboy head, the PS3 has way better games comming out, i mean Xbox has been out a year and has hardly anything to show for it and Sony is launching with like loads of great games more than MS has right now on there over hyped piece of crap console that is the crapbox 1.2, i mean who cares if only 25 games are availaible at launch or whatever, the fact is most of them are great games which means they have more great games than the XBOX 1.2 has right now; you just no nobody is gonna get all 25 at lauch so for the love of gamming stop giving this crap about only 25 games or whatever, fact is people on average will buy like 3 or 4 and if they have 25 games out that most are good, then hey that beats the 1.2 launch of MS and beats everything thy have out the now, i mean it's ok to have like 50 games out, but if there's all almost rubbish then what's the point of you argument on that one. Oh BTW Blue Ray is already one, Sony has all the backing of film studios, so they will get all the films, i mean that is what you buy it for, not unless the crapbox 1.2 needs that to play games, then MS is screwed, but i mean they don't have enough 1.2 consoles sold to ensure any future of blu-ray so with that and no films comming out for it it's screwed! LOl lol lol lol!
Like with Betamax you mean? And with Minidisc? UMD? Man the PS3 is so ready to let Sony go bankrupt, with a nonstandard betabluray videoplayer but you're just too blind to see it. Oh and this Christmas and the coming years you'll just see what it's all about> GAMES 360 has double the number of exclusive games compared to PS3. And the most new and great ones. Not part 6, 8 or 13895498 of the same games. Go play Whipeout 6, Tekken 6 or Final Fantasy 3324981
GT series is the most relistic driving series ever, Fozra is just for arcade nuts!
It's funny, borrowedtime, you say the Mart has one point of view only and then you go on to say 'PS3 will show its domination once again'. D*ckhead.
Forza Motor sport for the original xbox so kinda knew this was gonna happen. But GT4:HD is still better than no GT right? Dammit We Waste money again just to polish up a PS2 game with CGI and still get no love for it.
Kaz... my Mrs. Kutaragi is sending your mom a invite to play PGR3 online right now. Any way, Yes my Fanboy Children... GT6 is coming! In complete 5d Graphics. Buy my POS3 when it comes out (next year) as soon as we find someone foolish enough to produce a game console for us.
